      KVM with Virtmanager.
Centos latest is my preferred KVM host.
And Fedora LXDE Spin is my preferred Virt-Manager choice, I use it from inside Windows using Virtualbox.

Cause it resembles the old ESXi Philosophy with Vsphere C# client
And you can do whatever you want with it, and for free. Especially when you use virt IO drivers for network and disk, you get nearly identical bare metal speeds.

But sadly its lacking other tools to allow users to connect and use the VM, you will have to do this from inside the VM like RDP and VNC.

No provision to run more wires, that's an architect I'd have a few words with/for.

I don't think that's fair. They didn't have network cabling back when these buildings were built.

If you consider a residential house, just as fast as people started running network cables to the backs of TVs, manufactures started building in wifi adapters that make the network cable unneeded. Right now people are putting in conduit between their entertainment center and the back of their wall mounted TV for all the cables. 5 years from now we'll probably have a wireless HDMI cable that will make that obsolete.

We'll agree to disagree on that then.

That said, I do think your wireless option should work.

@IRJ said in Cannot setup Google Drive on NextCloud:

Unfortunately I am using a hosted CPanel install of NextCloud. Which means my host has restricted large uploads from their level and changing the htaacess file and user.ini file in Nextcloud has no effect.

So I pretty much have to have Google. I was able to setup Dropbox within seconds, but they only give free users 2GB. Google gives you 15GB and 100GB for $2.99 a month.

So you do not have access to your php settings file? Could you ask them to increase that limit? Seems like a standard thing.

Also, vultr.com offers a full VPS and 50GB of storage for $5/month, might think about going that way if the current host is so limited.

HOw does this help anything. Can you try a google config ?

I have a HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF as my XS 7.0 test box. Works great!

I don't see any issue with a lab box being PC based.

Yeah. My "oh s***" box is a Dell T3500. It stood in for the server while it got upgraded to XS7 from XS6.

@scottalanmiller that is what the point is but why then they are providing solution for this and so many are paying

I don't understand your statement. The point is security, not panacea. They are providing security improvements, big ones. What's wrong with that? Would you ask the same thing of any other type of security? Why do you pay for AV or a firewall if they are not a panacea? Because they are critical components in your layered security architecture.

@frodooftheshire said in One Server -2 NICs, Different IPs:

      Ok guys...update from today:
After going through things more, apparently both adapters were "bridged" via a Microsoft virtual adapter in Windows giving the "switch"a 51.6 IP address. This makes zero sense to me. Considering both ports were connected to the same Cisco router - potentially there could have been some switch/loop issues.

Anyways, I ended up disabling the "virtual switch" & secondary NIC (for now). I also found out that there was another small switch that was connecting to another network (from another business) in the building that had a Comcast gateway with its DHCP server turned on - handing out addresses in 10.1.10.X range. Fun stuff.

Anyways things seem to be working well now.

One just weird thing and another - WTF?

Why is the server plugged directly into a router and not a switch? I suppose if the situation is small enough and you have enough ports on the router (thinking ER-X here), OK maybe...

And someone else's network is connected to this network? How in the world did that happen? lol

Sounds like you are in for some good billing fixing someone else's mistakes.
