      Just read elsewhere that this was resolved back in November with a fireware upgrade. Need to determine how to check if my device is vulnerable.

      Resolved, or did they just change the username, lol.

      Just like Lenovo, that'd be a little scary.

      Ignore that - i found this batch file which works well:

      @echo off
      echo >pinglog.txt
      for /f "tokens=" %%A in ('ping 127.0.0.1 -n 1 ') do (echo %%A>>pinglog.txt && GOTO Ping)
      :Ping
      for /f "tokens= skip=2" %%A in ('ping 127.0.0.1 -n 1 ') do (echo %date% %time:~0,2%:%time:~3,2%:%time:~6,2% %%A>>pinglog.txt && GOTO Ping)

      This has been an open bug since June 2017 as below:
      https://github.com/Requarks/wiki/issues/162
      https://github.com/Requarks/wiki/issues/232

      Seems like a pretty minor thing to not get fixed.

      Yes, it does 🙂 hopefully it can get fixed.

      @dashrender you could see opensips as a software version of this, but in high load scenarios or in transcoding the example @scottalanmiller gives about restricted instruction sets on the video chip is a great example.

      If Asterisk was created after SIP standards were made it probably would have some type of domain filtering that would make the mobile issue a very easy fix.

      That being said the responsive firewall was a huge leap forward, but i don’t see anything in their big requests that indicates they are going to go further. I’ve not tried to use the Sangoma SBC or to fix the issue since I’ve moved on. I’m guessing the domain for mobile access is very low amongst FreePBX users, or maybe it’s used on desktops inside a LAN that is not using the responsive firewall.

      I'm hosting my unifi controller on vultr and I didn't have to make any port changes that I remember.

      So you didn't open any of those ports I listed?

      You do not normally need them.

      What don't you normally need them? 8080 and 8443 at a minimum correct?

      Correct.

      But I opened the 8880 and 8843 for HTTP and HTTPS for Guest Hotspot portal. Usually not needed for others but in this case it was needed.

      https://help.ubnt.com/hc/en-us/articles/205202640-UniFi-Guest-Portal-Promotional-URL-Automatic-Redirection

      With regards to STUN though, you believe is not needed then?

      Should not be as your controller is not behind NAT. There is not point to STUN unless NAT is involved.

      How can it mark your post as the solution?

      Tell @scottalanmiller to do it because that is a glaring whole in this plugin. Has been reported, but unactioned for years now.

      Hey @scottalanmiller can you mark Jared's post with Wikipedia on it for the solution. I cannot for the life of me mark it as a solution.

      I reached out to them today and they are quite reasonable in price in my opinion. They have plugins for Word and Outlook that are intuitive and they have consultants that will take care of the customization for you. That's my issue with SharePoint is that I would have to find a SharePoint consultant.

      IMHO, dispersing the storage between the hosts and configuring data replication between them would be the best option.

      Creating several tiers for the migration of your VMs is always nice to have - downtime strikes unexpectedly.

      But Hyper-V shouldn't be involved in SMB communications.

      For the test it is.

      What is the test testing?

      If an OS installed directly on the hardware doesn’t have the slowness issue when sharing over The network vs the vm on its vSwitch that does have the issue.

      What I don’t know is.... if Hyper-V is installed, is the hosts traffic in any way different than if it didn’t have the hyper-v role added?

      I'd recommend a wiki. You can make a template easily in a text file and just copy paste into the wiki to start a new page if the wiki doesn't have templates built in.

      What do you keep in the wiki (or wherever) for clients and in what order? That's what she is looking for. Something standard that we should have for all clients.

      OIC, she wants more of the content of the template rather than the style of it 🙂

      yes, I just didn't know how to word it....Thank you 😄

      Have you looked into compression, deduplication and file minification before even considering splitting servers? Especially that last one, it's overlooked most of the time, but can give you some impressive storage gains. I did a project once, with minification alone we went down from 1.5TB to little over 200GB. Of course, it all depends what kind of files you're dealing with, but if you have typical users, I wouldn't be surprised to see 80MB powerpoint presentations. These can easily minify to 3-4MB.

      I am already taking advantage of space-saving technologies where it makes sense.

      I agree that "Head of" sounds like you are describing something rather than a title. It's not wrong, it's just more conversational that titular.

      I've pushed back with 'IT & Customer Service Delivery Manager'. Lets see if they are happy with that. Though, I expect too be told 'must include Head of...' bah!

      Updated Phone System In Office 365 Pricing shows that it still is $8 add-on for Microsoft Teams, plus the $12 add-on for domestic PSTN calling.

      So it is $20/month/user for Phone System and PSTN calling to the US.

      However, the $8 is lower than the previous $12/month/user for Cloud PBX. If you can use Hybrid mode to connect to your own SIP trunking its coming way down.
