      Here is Firefox headless mode:
Firefox uses the same browser, just run with the headless switch. Works from version 57 and newer.

Thanks. I won't be able to use this with brightsign, but it might work if I have to run windows for a site that I can't view a public dashboard.

But does it really not download everything? Websites don't report on the size directly AFAIK.

Using --spider, does not download the pages.
Using --no-directories, tells wget to create empty directories.

So it gets it all from "Content Length"? Interesting. Guess that would work.

Yup, I prefer wget but have mostly stopped using it (or installing it.) I learned wget before I knew of curl (this is all long ago.) Today, I just assume that I have curl and wget is nearly never there.

This is more helpful then you realize.

I needed it today, so I'm pretty aware how useful it is 🙂

Though MS I'm sure has been gun shy to include these types of services for fear of being called a monopoly like in the 90's.

Quality does not get them in trouble for anti-trust.

No, including options so no other options are needed does - i.e. IE. How does including a PDF reader not make them act just like they were when IE was bundled in (oh I mean like now :P) Notice how they aren't gunshy anymore... they now have a built in PDF reader.

The bit we were discussing was the need for one to be locked down while the other does not.
