An inline device might be a bit easier to handle for transparent proxying.

I know. I'm just saying it appears to have been abandoned. It's been like this for the last couple days I actually looked.

The platform login for new users and existing users doesn't resolve to the appropriate page. You get a 404.

      Yeah, no new customers currently.

Or anyone. I had an account but can't get to anything. The WordPress site is up but Sodium Suite itself is gone.

found it. It was the individual time for that ESXi member. It was running on it's own time, neither host time or any NTP. It was off by the 6 minutes. So for some reason, VMWare was syncing this setting with the host's ESXi clock, not the hardware clock, even though the settings disallow that.

How do you know the VMware tools was doing the sync?. As I said in my earlier post if windows goes and tries to get the hardware clock no matter what your tool says for heartbeat or times are pretty station it’s going to get the Clock from the host.

look at the picture I posted above. It was vmtoolsd.exe that was causing it to jump forward and svchost.exe that was correcting it. I found this under event 4616

Can you change the Asterisk Dial Options in a way that isn't system wide? Maybe just allowing it sometimes?

That’s something that can be changed per trunk. So if you craft your rules to send those kind of calls out that trunk that would be the only time it applies.

I was just thinking along those lines Thanks for your help

so what we did was 3 step process - put the extension number on first alternative, another on second alternative, edit the call re-routing for the said extension number pointing to the line of 1st and 2nd alternative. we use the current timer but instead of going to VM it goes to the alternatives.

Well - unless it's in there some where,.. the Official support page for Hauppauge states that they Support Ubuntu - ... So, It would seemingly be that here is another device I am unable to run under Fedora...

      Or - Is that true?

      @scottalanmiller - Is there options for running the WinTV-HVR 950q USB TV Stick in Fedora - or am I looking at either;

dual booting going Ubuntu only going back to Windows -

Whats wrong with Ubuntu, I rarely see the difference nowadays between Ubuntu and Fedora, both are great. And trust me there are no apps in Fedora that are not In Ubuntu actually it is the opposite

Just upgraded to 6.9 and had the same error. Fedora 29 base.

Reran the upgrade with the export and it worked without error.

rolled back and reran it or just ran the upgrader over the last not so great upgrade?

Just ran over it. Same as I did the prior time also.

@scottalanmiller no. Single strand single mode can carry 40+Gbps today.

I think you are misunderstanding the meaning of speed as we were discussing. We are talking about the speed of the signal going down the line, not the bandwidth. People often call bandwidth speed, but it is not.

Also, copper can do 40GB/s plus today, too. The bandwidth is determined by the protocol, the speed is determined by the media.

      Home PBX

I was definitely considering setting up a home PBX but I don't know if I want to subscribe to any actual phone numbers

You can learn a lot without doing that. Although voip.ms makes it SO cheap.

And you can make calls without buying a phone number at all. Just pay per use.

What option is that? I don't recall seeing that (granted this was some time ago)

VoIP.ms has never required purchasing a number to have an account and setup a trunk.

You simply have no way to receive calls from the PSTN.

      Ah.

We use ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect [SC]).

Honestly, I would be hard pressed to give any other option a second look. BUT, it didn't start out that way. In the product's infancy, and early in our learning curve, we only used its basic functions (which every other products offers too). But as we mastered it; and it became a more complex and flexible product, we have turned it into a be-all/end-all for RMM. The things we can do through SC would amaze you. Granted most of it is OS related, so it's not something SC magically provides, but the fact you can to it without ever seeing or connecting to the gui at the other end make it extremely valuable.

Are you using hosted or on-premises?

On premises. About 50 feet from me 🙂 Running on an Intel NUC 🙂

Windows or Linux? Windows runs better with lots of resources, Linux runs way better for us in cloud on a "per dollar" basis.

Windows. Runs great. About 3500 Clients in Access Mode.
