The new views really make a huge difference. Going to the top bar view, removing the bottom bar, adding dark mode. I have way more screen real estate and feel like I can get to what I need more quickly.

Yeah i faced the exact same issue, wanted to make alternative whatsapp thing just using apps and now the extra email thing is causing hassle, however that said you can register users manually and that will create passwords, like open registration feature, which is by default is enabled and head to your RC webpage and register. open it in incognito

Netlify has a UI that you can build into your project. I haven't personally used them but they are a pretty popular static site host. From what I remember, the UI is just a single bit of javascript you add to your project.

The problem with Pi (and frankly a lot of the low end ARM) is these things have incomplete UEFI bios etc. You currently need to really be working on one of the distro's designed for it (Which is likely fine for your use case). ARM and our engineers are working on this though..

Good point. Definitely an issue. Ubuntu, which is what we use, does make for them at least.

This is working on several machines now. But @romo reports that it is still hit or miss, it's not a reliable or permanent fix, but it more reliable than other attempts. It remains, as MS has stated, somewhat random.

Shame that NextCloud + OnlyOffice is not really there, I tried it when I was working with MSFF... definitely interesting but needs some time.

Just had a very large client reach out and ask for LibreOffice again after moving to MS Office because they found Excel too difficult to get data in correctly. So they are going to LibreOffice for exactly the reason that everyone claims that "everyone" chooses MS Office... LO is easier to use and has better compatibility 🙂

They own licenses for both, so purchase cost is not a factor. They've used MS Office more time in the last three years. Given less time with LibreOffice and zero "price" incentive, they've chosen it as the superior product for them - with zero prompting from IT. Out of the blue the managers chose it as the better product.

It reminds me of the movie "Law Abiding Citizen".

The suspect would "confess" to all kind of things but if you actually listened to what he said it wasn't a confession at all.
