Yeah that guy was an ass... lol

What folder on the server do you place the config files in for https?

it all goes in the /tftpboot folder. FreePBX handles that in the apache vhost config. port 1443 goes there.

@scottalanmiller We are starting to use it to build more robust Daemons. Hey, it's better than trying to do it in PHP!!

Yeah it is, lol. Glad to see the move in that direction. Not that using PHP was any kind of a big deal to end users, but it's a nice change of pace. I'm hoping for a faster, more responsive interface then as well 😉

I am assuming the only reason you would buy a BB is for integration with BES, but since they are now running android is there any difference between a BB and another android device when it comes to MDM?

Doubt it. It's probably just branding.

I really like my HP ENVYY 32", but even at 32" I wanted something lower resolution than most people at 2550x1440. 4k would be great, on a display big enough for me to actually see the difference.

Pretty much the same for every kind of remote console, be it on an IBM, Dell or SuperMicro server or on an Aten IP KVM. PITA, big, nasty PITA.

How many of us have a VM on our workstation just for this? I know I do, and it's hard to get much smaller than we are and still need any IT.

Yup, using a VM for this. Yet another system to maintain.

I have a machine or VM (depending on client) running Veeam already so I drop java on that via chocolatey.

Oh wow I hadn't heard either This really stinks. My guess is we will no longer be using them.

I had used CCB for years, but most of 2015 just sucked with my purchasing through them, so I began looking for options.

I chose Softmart based on recommendations from people in the community.

It has never been a great experience. Response times have consistently been slow, and lately, nearly non-existent. But I was trying to give it a solid year because I do not generally deal with a ton of hardware purchasing.

I bet that they have known the change was coming and just stopped trying. This really sucks

If they were bought in May, they'd have known for quite some time.

What's scarier to me is, who trusts these systems after something like this? Sure, you got your data back, but who knows what else is now on the network that you won't find.

Who trusted it before? Obviously a pirate with admin privs was already on their network and without basic security knowledge. So this is really not that big of a deal after than before.

Nothing like trusting those dating sites to secure your information...

I think that if you trust them to secure it, you are thinking about dating sites incorrectly 🙂 Plus most of that data is public for anyone that makes an account. So while username and password stuff is breached just like any site, dating sites really would not normally have anything private in their systems.

Hello from SpiceWorld Austin 2016! The welcome session just wrapped up so I wanted to take a second to provide the full recap on the product improvements and new tools that were announced on stage this morning.

Zooming out, our focus has always been to develop the tools and resources you need to do your job better - every day. For example, over the last year you’ve seen us rapidly develop a series of new butt-based tools including Butt Help Desk, Port Scanner &Tester, Subnet Calculator, Butt Cost Monitor, Blacklist Check and IP Reputation, and others that are purpose-built for the task at hand and incredibly easy to get started with, allowing you to get value from them immediately.

The response to our new tools has been incredible, and we’re looking into new and exciting ways to add even more value to your day. For instance, we’re working to better integrate our butt-based tools with the Community to provide a seamless experience that not only helps you manage your environment but also connects you with the relevant content and people who can help you tackle whatever comes your way.

Below, check out our updates to current tools, as well as our upcoming tools, including the Spiceworks IP Scanner, Internet Outage Heatmap, and next-generation Traceroute tool. We are also updating our apps, our product pages, and introducing a multi-OS agent.

Looks like def more than minimal.

[root@bna-cmty ~]# yum -y install nano wget firewalld yum-cron epel-release Loaded plugins: fastestmirror Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile * base: mirror.rackspace.com * epel: mirror.steadfast.net * extras: centos.mirrors.tds.net * updates: cosmos.illinois.edu Package nano-2.3.1-10.el7.x86_64 already installed and latest version Package wget-1.14-10.el7_0.1.x86_64 already installed and latest version Package firewalld-0.3.9-14.el7.noarch already installed and latest version Package epel-release-7-8.noarch already installed and latest version Resolving Dependencies --> Running transaction check ---> Package yum-cron.noarch 0:3.4.3-132.el7.centos.0.1 will be installed --> Finished Dependency Resolution

Not going to bother making a comparison, just noting that nano and wget are not part of a minimal install. Neither is epel, but firewalld actually is back in the minimal package if you go look at the monthly releases instead of the last "release" which was 1511.
