@JaredBusch ZeroTier for the win! Once we got the Ubiquiti VPN configured and working, it proved to be unreliable. At first we thought it was the user, but after watching what he was doing and checking the stats on the ER, we found it was nothing he was doing - it just wasn't reliable.

I tried ZeroTier myself and then set it up for the client and it works just like I wanted it to.

No doubt I did. I think it had something to do with The hostname.

Got back to this yesterday. Running on CentOS7 as a base (best of the default options the hosting provider has/had.) Easy management through the remote virt-manager and ssh.

@Tim_G turned me onto Kimchi as a secondary management interface as well. I've successfully installed wok and kimchi, but haven't opened the port yet, will get that done tonight after grabbing an ssl cert.

Also got the first vm uploaded last night, tomorrow looks to be a big day in my home lab.

You can either do an Enter-PSSession or use psexec.exe to execute. Put a reboot command in a batch and call it a day.

Make sure to create a new glassbreak account local to the PC, so that every machine has a specific account someone can perform work with.

Just select Windows 10.

Because there is no switching taking place. The devices simply ask for a dhcp address, and go. All switches are hubs, so a basic unmanaged switch.

My guess - a confusion between switching and routing.

Probably wants a switch, but is calling it a hub, not realizing that a hub is a specific thing that sends all traffic out all ports (layer 1).

In this case, either would probably work, but hubs are limited to 10/100,...

That's true, the GBit standard prohibits hubs.

Windows Time is set to run under "Local Service" (not local system account)

I believe that is correct. It was in one of the threads about the ancient vulnerability in them not getting patched or something like that.

As I've done some research today, I believe this is the kind of thing they want -- specifically a popup with information about an incoming call.

Definitely would seem to be a PBX feature, not a endpoint device feature. A softphone is pretty much a desk phone just inside your computer via software only. I wouldn't expect a dumb phone on my desk to have this ability, but I would expect my PBX to maybe be able to accommodate this.

The only other option would be is if SalesForce is the PBX, but then, there's still a PBX involved.
