@stacksofplates I went thru Airwatch SE training a few years back and was blown away at what it could do, and how easy it was compared to everything else I'd used. (Full discloser) Technically my current employer owns Airwatch (The company) but that's a different BU so these days I don't keep up with it too much. AirWatch is licensed either per user or device. There is a hosted option (My recommendation) or an on premises solution (For people like the DoD). Talk to the Airwatch/EUC SE's about that stuff as they know hospital requirements really well and live and breathe all the weird what is supported by what platform. When evaluating any MDM solution ask for references in your industry that you can talk to, and talk to the vendor directly not just resellers. It's too complicated for 3rd parties to keep up with 100%.

I ended up going with an upgraded script by truly using powershell.

I assume that they are working form the nearly released Elastix 4 work. That was on CentOS 7 at the end.

And it did work with a lot of patience and knowledge of the underlying systems. But it was a hard fail for the layman.

I always had issues with them locking up, losing certain settings upon reboot/power-cycle (which required them to be physically removed from the chassis) and had to replace several of them. The only thing I don't like about the ATS is that they don't have the ability to control the individual outlets, hence the additional need for a PDU.

I really like the Eaton 5PX line myself. Never upgraded the one we had with the network card tho.

@JaredBusch : I just wanted to say THANKS for posting all of that FreePBX how-to info. With it I was able to procure a DID, setup an IVR, configure routes, etc. I even managed to configure an inbound route set to go to a DISA (pin protected) for the cell phones!

You are entirely correct. The people like that it seems will not even consider anything else and would rather pay big license fees than learn other systems.

@penguinwrangler Thanks for experience. What about bad and unqualitive content? There are still a lot of such videos and kids, even teens can watch something horrible for the psyche. Do you use any filters to avoid it?

Im pretty sure for connecting to windows hosts XRDP leveraged FreeRDP (which is the stalled project) and is limited to something in the RDP 5.x range.

XRDP goes the other way... Any RDP app connecting to a Linux box.
