Maybe not all IT admins (namely helpdesk techs) need the capability to delete.

Already something that has been noted, while it hasn't been fully implemented you can see that this functionality is being built in with the admin module in terms of group permissions settings. So yep this will be covered (and very soon).

/s I want beer and food from my help desk system. Can you build that in? /s-off

Now that would be an amazing feat. No one would ever use a different ticketing system. Not to mention I would never get any further work done ever again lol.

@wrx7m said in Sodium Helpdesk: Feature Request To Do List:

I think a lot of users choose high priority regardless of actual priority. I haven't had a chance to play with Sodium much yet but if it can maybe limit priorities to low and medium for certain categories/issues with an override for IT, that would be cool. Is that a thing?

Oh, priority limits by user or group, I like that. Also a possibility would be a workflow for setting or approving priority where someone at a management or triage layer would have to assign or approve priorities.

Right, and we absolutely have discussed the potential for workflow integration with ticketing and I believe it's officially been added to our development list. Not sure as to when that will take place so the potential for this form of configuration earlier than that would likely be a nice addition.

      @QuixoticJeremy @QuixoticJustin

Have you added contacts and organizations to the system? I was looking at that yesterday and noticed that you have to add them to select an org and contact.

Each ticket can have different information.

NTG is a contact / Org so yes.

I would check, but seemingly can't log in today.

I'm waiting on my IT to wake up so that I can figure out what is going on.

I thought they were the only ones allowed to sleep, and you had to work 24/7. . . what's the issue?

lol the issue is that the logging system is turned off atm which is something I need to figure out what is going on... (also something that is not in my jurisdiction)

Every time I hear/read that phrase, I think of this -
      Youtube Video

LOL well played sir, well played. And now I want to watch the matrix trilogy....

One way that I use ManageEngine ServiceDesk (our current Helpdesk) is a pending view based on category.

All network support (ie not web dev or app dev) tickets that are pending (any not closed status like open, on hold, etc.)

Which this is actually already in place. Right now its labeled ticket type.... but it's categories, and the categories are defined by you. You can then absolutely filter based on the ticket type (considering on just switching to categories for what we call it) and then ticket status in conjunction. You can filter based on multiple types etc. So this in theory is in place already as of yesterday.

Should there be a Submit button?

      0_1501780499893_Selection_057.png

Why in the world is your submit button above your description box....

Ah uhm. well,.. uh.. Are you saying the New Ticket bar is the submit button?

No. Look at your screenshot, right under due date.

Oh - well. yea,.. there it is. Huh.

      What browser are you using?

      Firefox

LOL gene what did you do! I'm in firefox now, I'm playing with screensize, I'm doing everything and I can't replicate this....

      Who me? (innocent look)

Looks find in Chrome - but can move things around (whopps) resetting the browser sets it back. Reset Firefox (54.0.1) reset the page settings and the Submit button is at the bottom now.

Good deal 🙂 I'm still going to look into what went on in there. I know that there is also an active bug right now where datepicker will just stop working.... so if that happens just manually enter the date.

The strange part is that mine has been fine all day. Previously I was seeing either a duplicate 😄 or "Not available" "NaN".

      Today? just E: and 😄

Awesome! That is actually not so strange as I did clear up some storage issues. Scott's issue is likely completely unrelated to yours. Yours was cleared up as I reconstructed how we were storing our data. As soon as I did that your issue was resolved (it was the driving force behind the change but it is a huge upgrade to our backend so it was needed). As for Scott's issue, this is an issue with what is being sent to us from the agent. The last line is actually the return code which I just need to filter out, that's nothing. However the D drive not showing it's information is intriguing. The agent obviously couldn't get a read on the drive. I'll be looking into this one later today.

Running the latest Deepin Linux 15.4.1 for testing, Sodium installs fine with the apt-get installer and data collection works, but the applications get collected with a number rather than the name of the application. Screen shot here:

Interesting, the agent must be returning in a slightly different format for deepin linux. I'll have to write a separate parser for that response. Thanks for the notice!

@manxam said in Sodium System Status:

@QuixoticJeremy, I installed the agent on a Windows 10 system a few days ago but Sodium does not show any information beneath "Applications" for it.

Also, it enumerated the DVD drive (E:) but shows "Not Available" for all of the data. Could you do a quick WMI check on drives to determine if they're ROM and, if empty (isReady = False), show "Empty" or something along those lines?

      [IO.DriveInfo]::GetDrives() | where { $_.DriveType -eq 'CDRom' }

      Name : E:
      DriveType : CDRom
      DriveFormat :
      IsReady : False
      AvailableFreeSpace :
      TotalFreeSpace :
      TotalSize :
      RootDirectory : E:
      VolumeLabel :

Hi @manxam! Thanks for posting/helping us test. Yep, you are 100% right, the applications not showing is indeed a known issue and I'm actually working on it as we speak. (It was reported on Friday but we've had some crisis situations that prevented me from getting to it until now). As for the storage side of things I'm making note of that and will check into that right after I fix the app bug. Thanks again!
