The wife is off on a three day sorority bender... I mean retreat, for the weekend already.

The Linux system gets the use 99% of the time and needs priority as to performance and what not. The Windows install is just for gaming and is not even my main gaming machine. Just a secondary one. And I've lived with zero Windows access for most of a year, not a big deal.

That makes sense. Running Mac OSX helps you be familiar with what the most people need help with. That makes sense. When I ran OSX, I was definitely experiencing the same issues as lots of other people. If you are supporting people, matching your problems to theirs when possible is certainly sensible.

Although, when possible, I'd push to fix their problems rather than just replicating them 🙂

This is a personal choice - how secure do you want your environment to be? Hiren could definitely sign his CDs and make them compliant with Secure Boot, I'm guessing he just doesn't have people requesting it, and doesn't see the value to cost as worthwhile.

Well, you can thank people using Apple's term for IEEE1394. The real name is just IEEE1394. Calling it FireWire or i.Link is the issue. Just call it by its real name and it gets much clearer 🙂

They don't ship from Philly. Their warehouses are all over the country. I used to do local pickup in Dallas all of the time. No delay to the west coast.

Do they charge for pickup? And where in DFW are they located at? Just curious

They don't charge us at least. And in Carrollton where the tracks cross Josie just north of Trinity Station.

It seems odd that the calculator would be part of that system.

Now when something with such a bad image, buys a product you love, would you not be worried?

I do not call a few bad reviews a bad image. happy users do not post as many reviews as pissed off users. Also note the timestamps there.

Now, I will not argue and say they are good, because I do not know that. But i have not seen bad press regarding their services, is all I am saying.
