@scottalanmiller could enabling write-intent-bitmaps help with the sudden power loss in a mdadm array? If enabled they would probably cause a big impact in performance but could they help?

We have already downloaded Fedora 23 and started testing it in the lab. openSuse Leap is high on the list of things that will be in heavy use in the NTG Lab. Can't wait for our new cluster to be up. Leap will likely be the first thing that we get installed.

Not surprised you can get digital signatures for free nowdays. Probably the best protection is to trust only to MS documented digial ID services – then you are good to go.

I have Snappy Driver installer I use as well as Driver Booster but I agree with @JaredBusch and @scottalanmiller that for generic work PCs, most driver updates don't change anything worthwhile. Microsoft will patch most drivers over time anyways, so as long as it's not broken, why fix it?

That being said, for my personal PC, I'm fanatical about keeping my BIOS and all my drivers up-to-date. It's just how I am.

@JaredBusch Sorry, I've missed the point. You can install VEB in unattended mode thru any distribution solution you have on board. Check this article, however, the problem of configuration remains as it has to be performed manually after the installation

drew - it seems to work to a point, it just divides it twice, ex 10/10/10=.1, it should only do it once, ex 10/10=1 (or multiplies it twice if I change it to multiply). Other calculations are done fine in the program, but i cant figure out why I can't get this one to work. I'm trying to follow other setups, altho none are division (that I remember), they are multiplication.

There is alot of linked tables to another Access db, as well as where it pulls the data via odbc (Program as 120+ tables, quires, macros, modules).. The divisor is in the linked access db, plus it has to only do it to the certain accounts and items. We are looking at getting a real program to do this, but for now we are stuck with this.

I will try do what the video you linked has, but we use no forms for this.. All it does, is grab data and put it in a special format mandated by MSA (

well, the initial export to PST failed. and i've already deleted the account from comcast. therefor i can't convert using outlook b/c it has to authenticate with the server that it no longer has an account on.

So in your case your customers have Hosted IP PBX not IP Centrex, now i see the difference

      That's correct. Our customers:

Get to choose any trunk provider that they want (that provides VoIP) Do not share their PBX with anyone else Can have root access to their own device (most choose against this) Can run optional components at the expense of their capacity (like running a web app on the PBX, most do not do this and we do not recommend it) Can use any combination of features in any quantity and are only capped by the capacity of their individual system - so idle features cost ~nothing. Can image their system and take it local / on premises.

This is my guess. Geolocation is hugely inaccurate and problematic. For years when I worked in London Google was convinced that I was in Germany.
