    • Dividing in MS Access

      Hey guys, Need some help

I am not good with MS Access, and this was an already built program by former IT guy. I am trying to modify it and make it divide 2 numbers if it meets a certain criteria, as certain customers are invoiced as the Secondary UOM vs Primary UOM.. It does divide, but it seems to be dividing twice. This is what I got as the query. This is a more complicated program, that grabs data from our ERP system, and in the ends creates a file that is them sent to MSA, for our Cig/Tobacco sales for our Distribution side of the company. Is this the correct code/syntax thing to use for division?

Does anyone else here deal with MSA for Hersheys, Grocery, Cig/Tob reporting? If so, what do you use to do the reporting?

Thanks for any help, and sorry I it's really hard to explain this program/report.

    • What does Internal Error: Missing Template ERR_CONNECT_FAIL mean??

      Aloha Guys,

Have a issue I cant figure out. Sorry if I confuse anyone..

Let me go back a couple months, I had a couple users ask how come we can't access coupons.com (I know its not work related, but its a small thing). When I checked, I was getting the error Internal* "Error: Missing Template ERR_CONNECT_FAIL"* So I checked with coupons.com, and they said we where not blocked or anything, so I tried for several weeks to see if I could access it, never could.. Today I try and I can.

Now for my current problem.. We have a software vendor doing work (which I don't trust, but have been over rode, and have zero say, and may start a rant about them)) but anyways, they asked to have a sub-domain set up, which I did, and I opened up on the firewall (Cisco-Meraki). Accessing internal thru internal IP or fqdn (10.0.x.x / name.domain.local) works fine. When I access off site or on my cell phone it works. When I try access on-site, it gives me the error *"Internal Error: Missing Template ERR_CONNECT_FAIL" *again.

I have no clue where to begin.. anyone have any ideas why this error happens to come up? Please let me know if anyone needs more info. I am trying to access sync. hieholdings . com (with no space, and there is no hieholdings . com site..

    • asking for a little help for a friend and his family

I wouldn't normally ask, but the boy in this article is a friend of my hanai (informally adopted/real close friend) brother, whom I also know.

He is 16, and his mother was killed the other week. They are trying to raise money to send her body back to the Philippines. He is going to have a long road ahead of him. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Below is one of news articles, and the gofundme link

Thanks guys, I picked up 2 from Aventis Systems. Took them a while to ship it, but should have it next week. TrippLite was awesome and is sending me the boxes for free to actually ship my UPS up since it would only cost me $12 to send up.

Looks interesting.. I'll have to look into this more. At least for personal use, and maybe company.

I installed it, and installed 2 agents, but they are not showing up, must have messed up on config or something.. guess i gotta dig around. might try just spin up a windows server vs Ubuntu to see of that works.

*Edit, figured it out.. re-did node ./node_modules/meshcentral --cert example.servername.com to reflect my ip since i dont fqdn setup yet since im only in testing state

    • Larvel / artisan serve external access

I had a program built, and am running XAMPP on windows. I am unable to get it to work externally. I tried changing the port, and have windows firewall disabled and the port forwarded. Wondering if someone can help take a look at it.

      it runs locally fine from what I can tell by running php artisan serve --host {ip} --port {port}

      help 🙂

Nice. That's what I gathered from what I read. Now to work on getting it setup. Tried once a while ago and gave up. Now to try again ^_^

Thanks Jared, I'll take a look at that.. I'll follow your CentOS7 steps in the link. Hopefully I can figure out the conf file. Looks confusing. My brain hasn't been really working lately. lol

Depends, if you are copying configs, yes. If you are trying to customize, no. It's a solid "medium" on the difficulty level. Not hard, for sure, but it's not a set and forget kind of thing. There are multiple settings and lots of ways to break it. Once you have a working config, copying it to do again is pretty easy.

Copying configs? I'll have to look more into it.. Interesting. Kind of scary on the "medium level" lol

Not possible. But as long as links are https you have nothing to worry about and I think all browser default to https now when not specified.

Thats cool.. Did not know that. That would prob work. It's really only going to be me 99% of the time accessing stuff.

Is it pretty easy for a newb to setup nginx?

Can't be done because DNS will only resolve the host name to ip address.

    • Nginx setup

I am looking at setting up Ngnix in my home lab. Not sure how to do it yet, and not good with Linux, so wondering if there is anything I should look for or know, or any tips to make it easy :-).

I have port 80 blocked by ISP, but will be passing all via 443. Anyone know a way to have either GoDaddy or no-ip force 80 to 443 when resolving host name?

. The "port" setting in config.json will change the port used by MeshCentral, "aliasport" will change the port MeshCentral tells the agents to connect to. So, if you have a port map in front of MeshCentral, use "aliasport" to indicate the "real" port that will be used. Hope it makes sense.

      Hi Yilan,

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks, yea I know I will have to reinstall agents.. Not a big deal. Do I need the aliasport? or can I just set the port to say 4430?

and one more question. If I get a real (not private) cert will I have to redeploy agents? I was thinking about getting a cert later thats why. thanks

Is there a way to change the port of MC after install to something other than 443?

If I remember right I could change it in the config file, but wanted to double-check before I play with it.

I don't have many clients so can always reinstall or change the port in the config file, so no issue there.
