Revisiting this again, as I would like to setup something with our team. What's the latest choice of PM on ML now?

First few results that caught my attention:

Seeing the dates, is there a pattern? Like does it keep on going up to this year, 2018?

No, these were the only dates.
But I will update the bios/ipmi just in case it is a software problem as @momurda suggested.

Come to think of it, I'm not even sure the -12V in the power supply is even used anymore.

It is more like CMOS battery or other component.

Very unlikely, there must be a VPN or a LDAP open externally only allowed from certain IP addresses from said Cloud vendor.

LDAP can be secured the same way HTTP traffic can be. In fact, it's the default in Active Directory.

What do you mean LDAP secured? you mean LDAPS?

      Yes.

LDAPS still not the default as far as I know in AD .

Really? That's just bad. I thought they had Kerberos by default.

5 dollar gt 710 is better than that thing. Likely the new drivers for quadro on amd site dont even work with it, so Win10 is probably unsupported.

I agree, just go to Best Buy and buy the cheapest video card. I've used one and it works fine for gaming so it should work fine for any office work obviously!

I could see something like a wireless VGA / HDMI transmitter and receiver set up. That way, at least any device with a VGA or HDMI connection could wire in and present with few issues.

Tried a few of those (good ones) in some conference rooms. They are great on paper, but works poorly in practice. We boxed ours up and moved on.

@scottalanmiller said in How critical is SSD on a web server?:

Web servers typically do not benefit from extra space, either. basically web servers don't use storage in any way. But SSDs at least give you faster boot times, swap space, updates, etc. Extra space would give us literally nothing, in our cases.

Are your DBs for your WP servers running on the same or different hosts from WP?

You want them on the same for performance. There is no advantage to centralization except a tiny bit of consolidation that would come at a cost of performance and reliability to the customers. If they are on a separate box there are more points of failure to worry about, more noisy neighbour risks, and huge latency bumps.

      That makes sense.

Yup your right, and we had to install VIrt-Manager on Linux GUI OS just to tick this option cause it is easier, cockpit-machines needs to have more advanced options.

On the hypervisor, you can use sudo virsh edit vm1 to make the changes.

No, it's not that simplistic. It lowers throughput, but by all kinds of different amounts at different times. Might do it just a tiny minuscule bit in one case, might lower by 90% in others.

Someone did the same thing at the last place I worked. Being a DoD contractor they went overboard and "thought they were being bugged". Needless to say that wasn't a fun environment to work in.

@jaredbusch said in URL filtering on EdgeRouter:

Well the correct way is not to try to shoehorn this into your edge router but if the site is small enough yes you can add the packages and do it this way

This would be for 4 computers and a server. Since the users won't be able to get on the internet and it's only windows updates and AV updates that will generate traffic, I think they will be OK.

Have you used this in a typical office environment? Where would you draw the line in terms of number of users/number of rules? I've never used the ER to filter on domains before.
