      I'm beginning to worry that there isn't a working ownCloud 9.0.x install right now. Stangely, ownCloud has been totally silent here today.

      I'm coming to the same conclusion. I found even more oddness.

      Even tho the config.php file says to use sqlite3, mysql is showing something different. Fired up mysql (MariaDB 5.5.47), and I'm looking at this:

      MariaDB [(none)]> SELECT User,Host FROM mysql.user;

      And really poor security on those oc_admin accounts that got created:

      MariaDB [(none)]> SHOW GRANTS FOR oc_admin1;

      Finally, list of all the tables in the database:

      MariaDB [owncloud]> select table_name from information_schema.tables where table_schema='owncloud';

      I'd like to know what got created. I have not tested mine upgraded install yet ofr anoything beyond "it's working" status.

      @Dashrender said in KVM Backups:

      You're right.. I have to keep reminding myself of that. But SMB's don't want to be chasing down dozens of little pieces all over the place to make these pieces work.

      It's one thing or a larger company to have a team who's job it is to do just that - Scott's been talking about using Xen for decade plus. I have to assume that Scott the one man who is equal to nearly 10 normal mortals, has managed to collect and put together all of those parts.

      The simplicity of XS and XO are what really give Xen any teeth in the SMB market, a la Windows style, everything in one place.

      The bad thing about these groupings though, as we found out with the use of VHDs in XS, are the limitations those packages place upon us.

      This is exactly correct. They want some hardware on-site (if they can't move to public cloud for some good reason) and they want somebody who owns the hardware also babysit it. Playing LEGO game with hardware and software isn't what most of the people can do EASILY (and one of the proves I'm right is why products like vRanger and AppAss still exist).

      I am working on that (yes I know @Dashrender I have been). But hope to get it done this week.

      Boss just won't approve it without documentation of value.. and the only way I can go is if I use my training time, otherwise out of vaca.

      Ditto, and I love all you crazy people but MangoCon is firmly in the "work" not "vacation" category.

      I've used Sumatra PDF in the past to print in batch. Looking at the command line options, it appears to support printing a single page.

      We have all Ricoh/Gestetner/Lanier MFPs. I love them They are rock solid. we paid $2500 for the printer, a table top model that's rated at 20K/month, but if you do more than 8K the local support vendor says you're taxing the machine and recommends an upgrade.

      We have monthly maintenance on the units which includes the cost of tone/parts/labor at something like $0.015/page I think was have most of them at a min of around 2000/pages a month. Anything over 2000 pages is just billed at the above rate, but it's a flat rate of $30/month.

      With a unit we has installed last Aug, we've already had the fuser replaced twice under maintenance, no extra costs.

      Sorry for taking a week to see the mention. Thanks for thinking of us.

      No, the limitation does not exist on the Scale HC3 clusters. We do not have artificial size limitations. We have tested VMs much larger than 2TB without issue.

      Yeah. been a user for 3 years now.

      Really great product, rock solid, very light on performance hogging, fast data capture and accurate error messages if it can't get the data, it's also incredibly cheap compared with other options out there.

      Could a FreePBX state be setup with all of features requested? I'm guessing a third party client software would be needed.

      Of course we have Telegram and Rocket.chat, but those are chat only clients, I think... So missing the rest.

      That's why Elastix insists on having OpenFire built in. You can do a lot of that stuff with the combination.

      FreePBX offers a XMPP module. Have not used it for the same reason I have not used OpenFire in Elastix. No one in my current customer base wants an in house only chat platform.

      Yeah this is the problem, internal only chat is damned near useless.

      @scottalanmiller said in Azure Outage... Again:

      The loss of knowledge of concrete was such a big deal that until the mid 1700s, we had gone over a thousand years without any idea of how concrete was made. So Rome was making concrete builds for hundreds of years longer than we've known about concrete in modern times.

      That means that for well over a millennium... humans had to look upon the structures of the Roman Empire and say... that's so neat, what the heck is that material that they used?

      It's interesting what history lost. Archimedes made steam engines 2000 years before we figured it out as well but it was useless at the time because slave labor was so cheap.

      The only reason why some empires f.e. Russia did exist so long (and keeps existing BTW).
