So forget my comments. It turned out maybe your instructions are fine. (Maybe, maybe not. I don't know, but will reinstall using your instructions again just to verify.) My problem was that I was opening up the firewall ports in the wrong zone. The default Install I used made only 1 zone on the master called "FedoraServer." Opening ports on this zone solved the issue. See this post from this morning: https://mangolassi.it/topic/15620/salt-stack-communication-issues/2

Learn something new every day. I'm so used to CentOS, so I'm not used to the differences with Fedora.

      Thanks!

That blog post is wrong, it says that DRBD must be active/passive. But it has offered active/active for some time.

You also need to have export/import permissions granted to your account. They are not granted to anyone by default.

      This is what you need.

First assign your user the Mailbox Export Role
New-ManagementRoleAssignment -Role "Mailbox Import Export" -User "<user name or alias>"

Then make sure the Exchange Subsystem has access to that shared folder and then run your export:
MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox username -FilePath "\\server\PST FOlder\username.pst"

I'm with Jared on this one...

Backing up through the application layer (SQL) as often as you can depending on change frequency. For example, every 15 minutes.

Hourly and daily through the SQL backup tools.

At least daily full VM backup at the hypervisor level.

I prefer backups that use a standard file format, so you don't have to rely on Veeam for example to restore it. Veeam has screwed up too many times for me to want to rely on it like that.

I have never had been fail

      Except for statements like this.

For some reason Siri does not like Veeam yet. Even though correct it a lot

This is something that @Bundy-Associates does.

We have a software package that does inventory, costing, general ledger, etc. It was designed and built for the manufacturing industry.

Unfortunately it is outdated IMO and needs modernized into a SaaS product.

It is fully functional, but it was designed on the old school Client-Server model with a local SQL Server database. Nothing wrong with that when it was designed. It was the norm then. It is updated and current with technology (runs on Server 2016, SQL 2017, with .NET 4.5 i need to update that to 4.7 one of these days).

It is just outdated in design philosophy.

It is a goal for our company, but we do not have the funds to redesign and we do not want to take on the debt to do so at this time.

@stacksofplates well that was a bust. it only shows errors related to the service itself.

      journalctl -u haproxy

I need to find connection errors.
Will hit the googles in an hour when I arrive on site.

Ah ok, I didn't realize it doesn't log that automatically ( I don't ever use HAProxy). This may help from https://serverfault.com/questions/647395/haproxy-not-logging-requests

Right, NIC Teaming is not a Hyper-V feature. There is almost no reason to do it that way.

Also, you don't want to use "Hyper-V" load balancing after Windows Server 2012. Starting with 2012 R2, Dynamic is the preferred algorithm. Only in super rare cases would you use any other algorithm.

just get the ISP modem as long as it is a one time charge not a rental. if not force them to specify a compatible model.

If they require a router, make them bridge it into a dumb modem. Your ERL can do the PPPoE. I have that setup on a CenturyLink connection in northern Arkansas for a client.

ERL is still on the list of things to get. It would be a one time fee. So this is probably the way to go.

Our distribution is officially SCEL, Scale Computing Enterprise Linux.

We start from CentOS 7, but obviously the changes are pretty significant. So it's only a reference starting point, it's not a CentOS system any longer.

Ah, so basically a fork from CentOS 7 then.

Basically, yes. It starts from there.
