Is anyone using OSQuery with (or without) SaltStack? If so, how are you using it and what are your use cases?

It looks very interesting (features), but I'm trying to grasp it's usefulness in an SMB, if any. It looks like an easy way to monitor performance and configuration of your infrastructure... perhaps maybe it's better meant for a large number of host monitoring.

What are your thoughts for those of you who are familiar with it?

Have not played with it, but the idea is great.

I installed it on one of my Salt Minions for playing with later. I'm not sure how much exposure I'll get out of it that way, but I shall see.

Looks like a neat idea. Treat the OS as a database, standard query language across platforms.
