      Uh there’s no difference. If you freeze the system it can’t be used. This is to run on live systems so they remain running the whole time.

      What no coffee break for servers !!!

      They definitely get a break if you pour coffee on them.

      I'm going to start using it on Windows if my Webroot issues keep up!

      (NOTE: these issues are not Webroot's fault, I don't think.)

      This seems to be the new spectre v2 update. Seems to have totally borked IE though for many people.

      Was the other Webroot issue listed?

      Hello Guys

      Thanks for the advice.

      It is working now

      0_1524015956668_Screenshot_1.png

      What I did was change the information inside "/etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.cnf" as follows:

      DBHost=35.200.156.83 (The PGSQL IP)
      DBUser=zabbix
      DBName=zabbix
      DBPassword=password
      DBPort=5432

      And change localhost in the installation page to the pgsql IP as well and it works.

      Thanks Guys

      I put fedora workstation on a usb, and live booted and installed l2tp dependencies with no issue.

      So installing iced tea should be fine.

      I've worked with lots of live sessions without persistence, and never had an issue installing additional software. Granted your limited to RAM as your total storage and system operation, and any additional software installed goes away on power off/reboot. It's odd that you're having trouble installing something unless it's requiring lots of large dependencies.

      Your game plan is sound. Maybe they'll learn the joys of good backups?

      I wouldn't like to see the end of 365, but I would always like to see good competition to Microsoft, a leopard never changes its spots in my eyes and Microsoft have history with all the previous court cases in some of their dodgy practices and monopolisation..they slagged off Linux to high heaven in the older days and now their embracing it? Might be something to do with Microsoft using it as part of their azure backend.

      You can't doubt they make some excellent products but they have always ripped people off and most of their licencing models are complete shit...I think in a few years people will be moaning to high hell once all their subscription models have been increased through the roof and Microsoft know you won't go over to Google now as their Google apps/g suite has been left in the dust.

      Microsoft are far from a perfect company and it does iritate me when people di*k ride and never see any fault with them and a lot and most are Linux haters I find as well...

      Don't you want to use a cron so you don't have to check daily?

      I have other processes that require manual intervention, so checking only takes a moment.

      I would still use yum-cron to do it. Just don't tell it to install if you don't want it to. You will still get the email when things are available.

      0_1523897763552_6dab9e40-48dc-4161-a88b-bbdf3011fa5d-image.png

      That does seem useful.

      No timers to set like needs handled with dnf-automatic just install and edit the conf file.

      Installing it and configuring it now...

      If you do yes / yes / no it will even have them downloaded for you. not that that is much of an issue generally.

      Man, I just do not think I can trust all the pieces involved here to properly work together in an automated fashion.

      Exchange is generally fine. LE is generally fine. The scripts are generally fine.

      But any single issue with one will blow crap up.

      I think it'd still be worth a look. It could work out to be a nice time saver to set it up once and not have to worry about it.

      Ended up just going with BackBlaze B2 for the cost.

      And there is Wasabi.

      I do like that company for many reasons other than cost. But what throws me off is the method to connect the appliance is to use AWS S3. Any idea why that is?

      That's not what it says at all. You are seeing the S3 API being chosen and thinking of Amazon's S3 service. Wasabi is just S3 compatible, that's all. It doesn't require a special API like other services.

      The logo is what is throwing me off. I'm assuming the S3 API was created by Amazon, but then they are just allowing other companies to use it?

      From what I've read about S3, it isn't proprietary; which makes me think Amazon doesn't have any kind of patent on the tech...

      S3 is a service. A patent isn't possible on a service. That's not how patents works. An API is an interface and can't be patented either. That would be like patenting a language.

      S3 the product is totally proprietary. S3 the API must be public or it is useless.

      Got it. Thanks for clarifying. The 3 block logo was throwing me off as I thought it would be somehow using specific stuff for AWS since that has appeared to be their branding/logo; obviously it isn't an issue or Wasabi would have legal issues to deal with.

      Where are you seeing that? I'm poking around on Wasabi's site and don't see it used.

      Sorry, on the Synology Cloud Sync tool.

      Right, that's Synology using it, not Wasabi. The tool is for "connecting to S3". It's definitely Amazon S3's logo. Why would Synology using it in any way cause legal trouble for Wasabi who didn't use it?

      It wouldn't. I misspoke in that regard now that I am thinking about it more.

      I dislike when they use logos like that. Because you can never tell if they mean it is integrated with the service, like the logo implies, or if it just uses a certain API that they are incorrectly associating.

      I fully agree with that.

      Any insight on maybe why that worked? I've had issues with the default group on another manufacturer, but I wouldn't think 14 was default.

      It worked prior to changing to DH 14 on my iPhone.

      I had to add a proposal with DH 14 for Windows 10 to work.

      Before Windows 10 to get a symlinknyou couldn’t do it without elevated permissions now is much improved.

      I use directory junction (/J) instead of directory symbolic link (/D), which requires admin privileges. All I wanted is to create a link from c:\users\user1\Desktop to c:\users\user1\Nextcloud\Desktop.

      Edit: Now obviously there are more to it than just creating links to have it properly setup.

      Yup, it's a good solution for sure. Nothing is perfect, but as long as you have CommQuotes by your side, you will have someone there to help you if you need it. We have clients with a few phones to hundreds of seats, as well as call centers that push millions of minutes per month over their network.

      You are in good hands and I think you are going to save so much money that you will be hoisted up on to a chariot and whisked away to the kingdom that awaits you as King of Phones at your company

      Possibly good to have, but not normally. Generally isn't terrible, but rarely worth it.

      Depends on what you need. If you're expecting 10:1 compression, yeah, not worth it. But if you need to squeeze every ounce of space out of your storage, then it can be. I've seen between 20 and 30% Dedupe on two different systems. Saved us 600 gigs on one side and ~900 GB on another.

      Definitely still a proceed with caution.
