Some systems that have had snapshots for as long as I can remember...Solaris, AIX, BSD, Linux, HP-UX and, at some point later after we had been long mocking it for lacking them, Windows. Mac is not enterprise and might have it, but I have no idea. It did at one point via ZFS but might have reverted and lost that functionality.

There are basically two ways to approach it...

Read Only filesystem where it never changes, period. Snapshot filesystem that "rolls back" after being used. (Deep Freeze approach)

The later is useful more for testing that normal use. It makes the users THINK that they are making changes but then deletes them without warning. Good for a lab, bad for a normal desktop.

But why would you use the name of the proxy when browsing? You are not explaining what the user is doing. Maybe a screenshot would help? You don't browse TO the proxy, you browse THROUGH a proxy. It sounds like the issue is in misuse of the browser rather than a technical issue.

When you say on demand do you mean someone else is sitting at the computer and needs to initiate the session for you or do you mean you can pull up the desktop whenever you want (unattended access)?

If you just need unattended access then look at ScreenConnect's Remote Access pricing. It should be a little further down on the pricing page.

You can get away with a utility knife or a good set of wire cutters. Or if you're in a bind the bend-and-break method works. I don't generally recommend it though as it can mess up the crimp.

I only have one VM, it is 2012 R2 on my XS.

Microsoft is telling me that the reason you can't run both is that the virtualised version of Office (ie the C2R version) could cause the MSI version of Office to crash if used together.

This is a concern because although it allows me to install an Access 2013 MSI and an Office 2016 C2R, I suspect that I may still get crashes.

Admittedly, I've never played much. I've played the PE version just to piddle and see what all the fuss was about. It's kinda cool, but not up my alley, I don't think.

I don't have a book that's been that much more amazing than others, but I believe it's not going out of your way to take ICND1 and -2, splitting the CCNA test into two halves and ending up with the CCENT halfway through. If you're on the fence about splitting it up or taking the combined test and getting it all knocked out at once, the tests added up to cost the same through either route.
