I don’t understand how @Dashrender and @DustinB3403 are so dense.

This is a super basic concept that had a purpose before modern RMM tools.

As I said, I had one, not Pi based, in 2008 at a client.

When windows would not boot, they plugged it in to the computer and I had remote KVM. Done. BIOS, safe mode, etc.

What the hell are you on? I definitely see the benefit of these, both before and today (though WAY less so today), so don't lump me in with whatever shit you're flinging today. πŸ™‚

No, how do you make a Mac update Citrix without a third party tool?

Are you referring to a specific piece of software, like Citrix Receiver? If you had no other tool (brew.sh is the one to use by the way) you'd either have to use the App Store or download updates directly from the software provider's website.

Then I don't understand what you were saying about Windows requiring third partdy stuff - does does Apple by the sounds of it.

Apple, specifically doesn't if you want to use the App Store, but using a tool like brew is much more simple and straight forward.

This is the GDPR. You can check yourself what it says. It's only 88 pages.
      https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:32016R0679&from=EN

Every countries in the European Union are required to make it national law.

Yeah, I've read most of it. But anything 88 pages is long enough to make creating FUD pretty easy to do.

Yeah, FUD is how the big boys make their money. If it's not fear, uncertainty and doubt then it's complexity. Make something that could have been simple, as complex and convoluted as possible so that you absolutely need lots of consultants and experts helping you. Which of course the supplier can offer. And finish of the cocktail of deception with a big chunk of vendor lock-in on top.

My only concern if it's truly free what's the catch? How are they paying for the Servers the clients talk to?

Someone called me on my vacation to ask about the noise.

      That was a bit self-defeating

Someone did the same thing at the last place I worked. Being a DoD contractor they went overboard and "thought they were being bugged". Needless to say that wasn't a fun environment to work in.

I have done this with Dashlane. Ive used it myself for years. A couple times I shared it with a friend for sites and passwords. It has a nice secure area for another layer to put stuff in. It has a desktop app and a nice phone app.

There is also one for Exchange as well:
      https://mediarealm.com.au/articles/lets-encrypt-microsoft-exchange-installation/

Man, I just do not think I can trust all the pieces involved here to properly work together in an automated fashion.

Exchange is generally fine. LE is generally fine. The scripts are generally fine.

But any single issue with one will blow crap up.

I think it'd still be worth a look. It could work out to be a nice time saver to set it up once and not have to worry about it.

FreePBX interface is definitely dated. But also .... why would the interface ever matter that much? But even if it did, I've used 3CX and their interface was far worse.

@scottalanmiller - I think I did add some tags Scott, did I type them in wrong?

You did add them, I modified them. You tagged "fusion pbx" but the product and the existing tag is "fusionpbx", no space. So you created a new tag that re-inforced this not being FusionPBX πŸ™‚

When typing in a tag, look for the autocompletely list. This will tell you if a tag for that topic already exists and how it is spelled. We try to make the tags be identical to product names when possible. Often with manual clean ups. In this case, the list when you start typing "fusion" is enough to show "fusionpbx" and you can just select it. That way you know for sure that the topic is linked to the other topics that are related.
