Given that Fortivoice put the call on hold and after days of not working it magically started in those few minutes... I think we have the answer.

I've not met these IT guys. I don't think that that is a realistic statement at all. I'd say saying 2% would be fine would be a stretch. Most IT people I see run as admin and are pretty reckless with security.

Yeah, because of places like this, when i did my last PC upgrade (to windows 😎 I moved to a two user account setup. 1 non admin for normal working - like this posting, 2 admin for admin stuff.

A bit of a pain, but MS really does have it down pretty well now prompting me when it needs elevated permissions.

What kind of stuff did you make?

I did data retrieval systems for manufacturing when I started. Taught for a bit. Did most of my work in infectious waste tracking and reporting systems.

I think one about dealing with vendors and engaging them inside and outside of social media might be interesting too.

That's a solid idea. I talked about the fact you should engage them, but haven't really ever written about how. I like it!

I am still waiting for the dev to give me more info on the type of request/data transfer happens between the tab and server. If it's just a Web service request then my life is easier, webserver with ssl and am done. Initial info is that it's a Web service.

Coming from Apache, I would assume so.

@JaredBusch YMMV. My experience has been good.

I'm giving up on Skype. I'm just giving up my account. I've had scottalanmiller there since Skype was brand new. But I've seldom been as unhappy with a service that I kept around as much as Skype. I'm kind of happy to be done with it. I won't miss that at all. Anyone who only contacts me there is just out of luck.

It's a cute idea. I wonder how much anyone would care about the games that you can play with it, though. I'm not going to take that with my friends to the bar to play with while waiting for drinks.

And I want any call to that device to go to me, not to whoever is holding it.

You don't really (at least easily) have this ability now.

So how would AD made this any different?
By turning the device into a multi-user device. That's AD's function, to make things easily multi-user.

Job security pro tip: Never bag/disrespect your employer or their products online. The Internet NEVER forgets.

Because it impacts not just that employer but future ones too who see that there is a high risk of you publicly being unsupportive of them while you work there and when you leave.

Let's say Microsoft wants to hire you. They do a search and realize that you have a history of talking poorly about your current employers or their products or just supporting competitor's products while doing so. And talking about them after you are no longer employed. Why would they take a risk on you? It's a high risk for them, employees talking bad about products is far worse than random Internet people.

The preview isn't usually open to as many people like it is for Windows 10 though.

What part of this is confusing? I have no idea how you are struggling with this sentence.

It simply says that the Windows 10's preview is open to more people than previews are usually open to.

That wording made sense. His just isn't registering with me.

So how does a site get an SSL without knowing? "CT’s intent is to prevent CAs from issuing public key certificates for a domain without the domain owner’s knowledge." I assume that means if the site is hacked.

No, it does not mean that it has been hacked. This is really easy to do. I'm not sure at what stage you think that there is a verification for this currently but generally there is nothing.

But it has to be used at the domain it's issued for or else it will throw a mismatch error.. Unless it's a whild card cert..

That's a completely different piece of security. If you hijack DNS you completely bypass it.

Do you need it to ring a bell or to page folks?

The speaker you list will do the trick, but FreePBX can do it with current equipment. It's all about boosting the ring/tip voltage

    Another option:

Thanks @PSX_Defector...that is a little cheaper but since they are buying a new business class PC and looking for a new AIO printer, they're looking for something less expensive. They might just add a phone to the shop.
