If you type some large number in the box for the / partition and then click the update button, it auto sizes to max.

Yeah, that's how I got it to say 144.84. If I did it myself, it'd be a nice round number.

Our DC sent a warning about this. And they said it's not just VMs, could also happen to bare metal.

Just looking at the router / firewall is where all the info is. Any given IP might be in use but not responding.

If he has access to the firewall. I took this to mean he's trying to determine if anyone else is using any of the IP addresses..

No one else can use them, as they can only be routed to his network.

And someone has to have firewall access. This is the only thing that is needed to answer this question.

Not exactly - it's for all the DIY stuff im doing anyway. Bought it with a friend.

A few friends and I were talking about doing this.

I can highly recommend the Anycubic I3 Mega. I do have access to quite a few printers, incl. Ultimaker 2/3 Extended, BigReps and others. The Anycubic is outstanding given the price and at least compareable to the Ultimaker IMHO. Great results, good build quality, no open wires like other cheap printers.

Not the same thing as its not an AirPlay (AirParrot) solution, but is a broadcasting solution to a stream or file.

I looked at AirParrot and thought that it was a broadcasting solution. What do you see it as doing?

Stream from a laptop (windows or mac) to Chromecast or AppleTV connected to a TV for screen mirroring.

I thought that that was what that did.

nice if you use hyperv instead of virtual box. useless on servers.
nothing wrong, just a question: which is the expected audience of hyper-v?!

It's broad. The use case here is developers working from desktops and testing interactions with battery stats.

@JaredBusch Do you recommend sticking with Asterisk 13 on the new install or should I go with 15?

Not tested 15 yet, so I cannot answer that from experience. I can say that I’ve never had a problem caused by Asterisk

Same here, using 13 because FreePBX is recommending it right now. But doubt 15 would be an issue.

Cant you just right click the computer in ADUC and Reset Account?

Every time I've done that, it's guaranteed the need to rejoin to the domain, which requires a reboot.

@dustinb3403 said in Does Regular maintenance count as Downtime?:

It's a question of what does 99.999% include.

That percentage is uptime, and specifically means that services are available 99.999% of the time... with no more than 5 minutes 15 seconds of downtime per year.

This is achieved through High Availability solutions. Such as in the example of websites, load balancing web servers with redundant reverse proxies, IPs, DNS, etc...

You can't have uptime like that if services are unavailable...

You do planned maintenance piece by piece so that you don't have to bring down your services. You would do firmware or OS updates on nodes 2, 4, and 6, while nodes 1, 3, and 5 are still running and providing services.

      I've installed ransomfree https://ransomfree.cybereason.com/

Good tool, and free, to avoid ransomware.

Check if that detects when you run ransim https://www.knowbe4.com/ransomware-simulator

Ransomfree create a few folders in the system with many dummy files inside (.doc .jpg .xlsx..)

In case one of these files change, Ramonfree block the computer and ask you if you allow these changes.

Ransim just check his installation folder so Rasomfree cannot detect it.
