Is Java at all included in this OS? If so you're boned.

Sure, but not as bad as running Google services and getting targeted ads all the time. If you want to be 100% safe, you have to unplug completely.

I also had to fix a permissions issue from a while back, that wasn't affecting anything until I went to get this feature to be functional.

Yep, sure do. You have to add hex together in order to get the proper value in order to keep 1.0, 1.1,and 1.2 working

I've not seen this happen. If Jared hasn't seen it either, it might be worth a quick call or email to Sangoma support. Since you bought the modules, they should make sure that they work.

I think you will begin to hear more about Workspace ONE powered by Airwatch rather than Airwatch as a separate product (https://www.vmware.com/products/workspace-one.html). There's a large amount of work being done around managing Windows 10 devices too (moving to Unified Endpoint Management instead of just traditional MDM, things like ability to manage BitLocker keys).

There were some platform announcements yesterday as well - https://blogs.vmware.com/euc/2018/03/workspace-one-intelligence-march-announcement.html.

But I'd stick with @StorageNinja's advice on being patient for a response.

So what is this SSL for a website or just shopping around?

Just shopping around... but, I tried a different browser. It was showing USD but the currency was not correct, I checked back after looking at Chrome and it was showing Icelandic kr. Lol wtf

Starts a $99.99 the first year and then renew is $199 a year. Most of the sites I have been securing are in Let’s Encrypt or Cloud Flare.

As for TP-LInk, I have always been a fan of their managed switches as they work well and when in need to buy switches in a pinch, I buy them from Microcenter same day, although now Microcenter sells Ubiquiti now.

I will randomly do it if I happen to think of and have the spare moment to do so. Mostly I get no responses. But I have had an occasional non-automated response.

I'd wipe and install Ubuntu. I would probably ask my company to go a step further and give us new hard drives for a clean Ubuntu install.

Kids with little or no money and alot of time can be dangerous. Dont give them a chance to recover your data. That is my 2 cents.

Running DBAN for a full DDoD wipe would likely suffice as well, but who wants to let it take so long. . .

How much are 100GB laptop drives these days? I wouldn't take the risk.

Likely more than the value of the laptops. . .

That's the hard part. The time and money of even a super cheap hard drive is probably double the value of something being donated.

Understood, but you are creating potential risk otherwise.

Not creating, just not totally eliminating. But is the risk typically over $100? Not likely. Paying $100 to eliminate $2 of risk doesn't make sense.

If you can confirm there is no sensitive data on ALL systems, which is difficult to confirm.

No, that's the risk assuming not knowing anything. Unless you can confirm that there IS sensitive data, then you have to go with the average. That's how risk works. You can't just assume the worst case scenario unless proven otherwise. Nor the least. That's where average comes in. And the average system carries essentially no risk.

Also, Dell apologized and immediately fixed the issue, and didn't do it again. Lenovo never admitted it was a mistake, and did it again immediately afterward but in a more insidious way showing that they were sad they got caught, not that they did it. Dell's action was pretty obviously a mistake - it was sloppy, no effort was made to hide it, they fixed it as soon as they found out. Lenovo's was not a mistake - it was elegant, loads of effort was made to hide it (and to force it back on machines after it was removed), and instead of fixing it when found they worked to make it even harder to remove.

@scottalanmiller but nodebb has a decent method to handle this.

      You can reply as topic.

It iwll open the reply windows, but stay withing the current topic.

So you can then select the text of the post you want to talk about in a new topic and click the quote link.

You know, I've never used that and once in a while I look at it, but then forget before using it again.

keep your images and ISOs in the default location of /var/lib/libvirt/images/?

Yes I do, but I create 2 new folders there, iso and vm.

Fedora will be presented a 4 TB block device ?
Why dont you separe that a little, and have more fun. Block device I assume DAS, if no why dont you make the storage reliable and robust, and make it its own server, like another fedora or centos install, with RAID 10 and the simplest option to share is NFS, and this way you can have many KVMs and the migration feature will actually work, and you can do RAID on just /var, and you scan scale easily with KVM nodes + KVM nodes can be state file, think salt stack, and you can treat them as pure compute nodes.

Because @EddieJennings is talking about his home lab, which will consist of a single 1U server. That hadn't been mentioned in this thread.

Bah! Folks should be able to read my mind ;). There were some good ideas in this thread though.

What I decided on was giving enough space to / live comfortably, and gave everything else to /var.

@jimmy_k Well, I just fixed it
I modified etc/resolv.conf by putting this

      nameserver same as DNS1
      nameserver same as DNS2

That's what that script is supposed to do. If you did this, it means either you never activated the script or it is broken and will stop working again.
