To me, installation means "registering with a database" like RPM, MSI, or DEB do. But not configuring. If you install Word but don't configure it, it is still installed but won't run until it gets credentials, for example. But we all consider it to be installed before being configured.

1 AP and 8 rooms, and adding more APs would most likely create to much overlap. I actually have 2 on the way, but only anticipate needing one in that building. The 2nd one will be in a different building, and much simpler to deal with.

If you have lots of walls, then put two on opposite ends of the building and set the power to low.

This is why we test! While I think one will be enough, I ordered 2. The location for the 2nd one can easily be covered by the current cheapo running DD-WRT. I have a Friday of a long network cord on the floor while I walk around starring at WiFiAnalyzer on the company tablet.

I don't know about sending a window to another screen, but the 1/2 was definitely in Windows 7. That quadrant thing does sound usable, assuming your on a larger 4K type display.

No, It's been a while since I've used them but it was under settings on the controller you set a device password. otherwise it's likely just ubnt/ubnt for the user/pass of the AP.

Yeah I saw that are, on phone now, and I recall seeing my username in there, but the password was started out.

I got it for buying a steam controller...

Well this saga isn't over yet.

My old Windows 2008 R2 KMS server is still up and running, has KMS installed, but is NOT published in DNS - I've confirmed this.

But when I went to a computer and ran

cscript slmgr.vbs /ato

to force a re-registration, it still registered with the old server.

Now I've disabled the port (1688) on the old server. Now to see how the client PCs handle that.

Definitely most everyone that I have seen is on .local. It was the advised standard for so long and it was so during the era when the majority of companies moved to AD. Even though the new standard has been around for a little bit now, nearly every company I deal with moved to AD prior to that time period. New companies get new AD, obviously, but as a market percentage they aren't so much yet, that I've seen.

The battery is listed as 77% full.

I think you're fine unless it's really horrendous - probably just all the components warming up for the first time. Those things really suck down some current when charging the battery and running the PC.

This, I did this in an enclosed small room and the smell of ozone was overpowering when first bringing up fresh out-of-the-box UPSs (Eatons) not sure if it is normal or not but there were no long term effects. Other then having to leave the door open for a few days.

After the first day it was still barely noticeable by no means strong or overpowering. By the third day it was gone.

My door is the control door to our data closet. I rarely leave it open, even when I'm inside. So I suppose I've trapped the smell in here with me.

I'll leave the door open while I'm here today and we'll see what happens.
