Only 32GB, but it is supposed to be only for browsing and ScreenConnect.

32GB is PLENTY. I don't even need the 16GB that I have. And 8GB of RAM, that's a monster of a Chromebook. Should be way, way fast enough. Just really expensive is all.

Copy it and change the name, then reload Remmina. You'll now see a copy of the same thing. Go back and delete the original in the file system and reload Remmina again. Original disappears.

Tells me that one should be able to simply dump the connection configs on the minions, tighten down the permission to read only for the user and let them operate.

It was $150 when I looked, which seems awful given the $179 price of a great Chromebook.

Latest update, Altex in Reghin has some lower end Chromebooks. Not exactly what we want, but might do the trick.

Maybe this type of device will encourage the development of heftier apps for chrome os... Video/audio stuff, graphics, etc. I'd run Reaper on a Chromebook like this to record multitrack audio... Assuming the audio hardware drivers existed.

Phone is just too small and so inconvenient for some things I want to do. I'd rather have a super small laptop just for web access and simple things.

11.6" is not very big. It's only slightly different than carrying around an iPad, but for me, way more usable.

I am not surprised, Chromebooks are so cheap, stateless and easy to use. I can only imagine that it would be pretty tough for a school to really want to do anything else.
