@JaredBusch said in The Marriage of Microsoft and Linux:

Also, the macOS version of Office 2016 is near completely feature consistent with the Windows version.

And macOS is a `Nix derivative.

I "think" that they use native libraries there (Cocoa) so that it's a port that would have to be replicated to go to native on Linux. Maybe now that 2016 is out they will just get the JavaScript version on Mac OSX and be on parity right away and be ready for Linux, too. That's another big piece of this puzzle, going to web apps is going to allow MS to now just remove the cost of making and maintaining the Mac version, but get the Linux version for free, and stop the cost of making the secondary online version. All three current versions plus the future Linux version will collapse into one. That's a massive cost savings.

@emsanator said in Installing Guacamole on CentOS 7:

      Hi, I get this error:

      404 Not Found - 192.168.1.76:8080/guacamole/CLIENT.URL_OSK_LAYOUT

      What would be the reason?
      Thanks

Is that error causing any issues? The thread below talks about this error, and says that it is fine:

On the Ubuntu Linux family, for instance, you can fix it with the following steps:

Open /etc/sysctl.conf, with an editor, such as vim. Enter the line: net.ipv4.tcp_challenge_ack_limit = 999999999 Save the file. Use the shell command "sysctl -p" to update the configuration.

The article mentions using CentOS, I believe. I'm not able to find the CentOS 7 packages -- they mentioned using the epel-releases, but my system doesn't seem to see it. Any ideas where to look? I'd really rather not have to resort to building it by hand.

Ubuntu has a PPA for it.

When i Restart the drbd service then check the status # cat /proc/drbd
it shows ( Connected ro:Secondary/Secondary ) , so after doing the below:

      drbdadm disconnect r0
      drbdadm connect r0
      drbdadm primary r0

and do the same on the other node but # drbdadm secondary r0
still the same i have no /dev/drbd0

@scottalanmiller I couldn't find a way to mark the post as closed/ answered. Do I need to do anything to shut this one down?

It's currently marked as a discussion rather than as a question. In theory you can use the Topic Tools and "Mark as Question". Once it is a question, then you can go to an individual post and mark that one as the answer OR you can use the Topic Tools again and just mark it generically answered.
