target has no BE agent before, this is new server .. so i want to deploy agent for Backup exec

IIRC they have an offline installer you can download from their site. That way you skip the whole buggy deploy client process.

    what is IIRC ??

IIRC is a short hand writing of "If I Recall Correctly"

Tech forum topics is another one to add to the list.

    Tech forum topics?

They are a part of IT, and they quite often go of track or in the wrong direction.

NoMachine (NX) is a great option when you have a Linux server to run it on. Does the Linux box have LAN access to the boxes that you want to reach from it?

Hmm so finally got infront of a computer, started from the bottom and worked my way up through the solutions and the most annoying thing is the problem more so appears to be my "content content content..." eh? Copied 5 paragraphs for Lerem Ipsum; turned height to auto and bam everything was perfect.
It didnt even attempt to format to the right when I copied the paragraphs in....
So thats really strange and annoying cause I was already adjusting height: auto; before making the post =/

Thanks for all your help guys! And hey, if you've got any suggestions for the website I'd love to hear them.

P.S. what are these developer tools you all speak of? The only website tool I've used is Firebug so I'd love to know of something else.

    Thanks

EDIT: Literally didnt even need to height: auto; just added the paragraphs and bam, worked how I wanted it. I literally didnt even have a problem! Just the content I added somehow screwed it all up???

    That's great!

Developer tools is like firebug but its on chrome, but its built in. Just hit F12. Firefox has tools built in also.

Sometimes the sites get funky from the nbsp;'s.

OpenLDAP is what the average Linux shop is going to turn to when looking to implement an "AD like" authentication mechanism when no Windows is involved.

Not familiar with Apper. What does it do?

It's like the Software Center on Ubuntu. You can still install through the terminal, just not use Apper to search by groups.

I've never used Verizon as my own service, mainly because their price is significantly higher than the rest. But I had to give up my cheaper Sprint plan for something that actually worked! Moving to AT&T was cheaper than Verizon, because of GSM compatible with most European carriers and therefore roam-able, and worked well in my home (Verizon, like Sprint does not work in my house).

Thats why I like TMobile. Uses any GSM towers that it can, included AT&T and whatever is local in the country that you are in. And at home it always works because they have full WiFi calling. So I never have to worry about it at my home, any family member's homes or other places that I go regularly.

Here is the info on how to do it. Just Google it and it brings you to MangoLassi 🙂

Pertino themselves use this info to help customers. ML had it documented first. Pertino saw the reports that NTG had it working, asked us how to do it, we pointed them to the ML docs and voila...

@scottalanmiller Virtual or Physical? If Physical, how did you handle the potential for Split Brain?

It was physical, but the split brain issue is the same.

You use a STONITH strategy and have a master site and do not fail back transparently.

That is also my default starting recommendation.

For just under $200 you get 1 ERL + 1 UAP. Pretty much perfect for almost all SMB offices.

Drop 2 hours of labor in there and you are done with the base proposal.

Ha ha. I'm sure. It is a huge city and the center of the country, I would expect everything to be available there. I hear that the weather is awesome too.
