There's a command you can run that will take a list of files and make them available to a user, I think.

Not exactly. Have you ever looked at the file structure of ownCloud/Nextcloud?

Basically in the /data folder there are subfolders per user. You would populate those with the files from the old file server. Then you pop into the CLI and issue this command to rescan the folders and put the stuff in the database.

sudo -u apache php occ files:scan --all -v

You can also do it per user.

I would not recommend ever doing this on an existing system that was not already hosed for some other reason.

It's only for documents. Goes a long way when used as intended.

Used as intended? That's a joke, right? Storing large PDFs should be a part of the intention. DWG files can be huge.

What if DNS fails? Then FQDN fails. But what if you move the server or shares to another server and the IP address changes?

Why are your DNS server(s) so unreliable?

You can always do three or more if you need to.

You changed something. Because I have never once had to reauthorize a computer that was already authorized.

Additionally, Apple does not "delete" anything. as it is all tied to your account.

It worked out of the box, I enabled it on the ReadyNAS, installed the iOS app, and connected.

After the update(s) - now it forces you to sign into NETGEAR - ....

It's working thus far -

I went to SKYPE and installed the RPM and installed signed in with no trouble.

I'm still on the LIVE USB version, but happy that it's there. A bit easier when I have a full keyboard/mouse to work with.

Looking at dual boot configurations / process now.

The web app is often better, if you have issues, just switch to the web version.

I should have mentioned it before,.. but I did try to use the Web,.. it was trying to do some type of account merge of my MS and Gmail account - some weirdness. And never 'worked'. Of course since I'm here at it,.. I can give it another go and see what it comes up with.

Oh yes, MS is doing some weird new account stuff that is a bit of a problem.

That said, it is also extremely simple to install with a keycode as a parameter.

How/why did you go all south on this I have no idea. These instructions are right there in the portal.

I deployed with a BAT file originally, before I made my standard images. Here is one example.

REM Server Group Install \\server\share\wsasme.exe /silent /key=SA3B-YOUR-KEY1-HERE-EE34 /lockautouninstall=somepassword /exeshowaddremove /group=2928509553360002652 <---group number for custom group in portal.

I just double click the installer file....

I was installing directly into different groups with different settings. No need to move things in the console later.

Not finished yet. Need an enclosure for the AP, the cable and final assembly.

Yepp. And also, generating SSH keys, I'd imagine, but I may be off base on that. I have the paid version, and it's cheap, so I bought it since I use it so much.
