I decided to run the beta release for our office and so far I haven't had any issues. For our client we just rolled them back 1 version and it fixed the issues they were having.

@NashBrydges said in Email Marketing for MSP's:

This year was the first year I started using mail marketing. I setup Mautic, and beginning in Feb and Mar, I sent a total of ~ 2,000 emails to local small businesses. These were the results...

      • Total emails sent = 2,031

      • Emails opened = 809 (39.8% Open Rate)

      • Clicks = 60 (3% CTR)

      • Calls = 7

Since Mautic tracks who opened the email and who clicked, I was able to see who clicked and DIDN'T call so I sent a follow-up email to those 53 who clicked but did not call which resulted in another 8 calls, so 15 calls in total.

As a result of the email, I picked up 3 new clients. To date, I've billed >$ 23,000 from those 3 new clients. Considering it took me only a few hours to setup Mautic and to setup and send the emails, and that these clients continue to be clients, I figure the effort was really worth it.

In my case, the email content was directly related to how small businesses had to adapt their operating models because of the pandemic and in all cases, they reached out specifically because they needed to understand their options for enabling employees to remote work. While this was the initial engagement, all 3 new clients have continued to seek support from my team and I.

Ask me if I plan on using email again? Absolutely!

Wow, that's an incredible open and click rate. What do you attribute the success to? For example what subject lines did you use?

I have a list of 10K but not getting that success rate.

I agree with Scott and JB, Perhaps a twitter post might be your best bet to actually get something.

Since those businesses postings aren't earning them any money (i.e. you don't pay them to be there) they don't care about you or your listing.

True, it comes down to the almighty dollar. I knew it was a longshot but figured maybe someones cousins, sisters friend who has an uncle who works there...

This is a long shot but several things are broken on my FB business page. I have reported them (Something is broken) to FB 1-2 times per week for about 6 weeks now with no result. Does anyone know or have contact with someone at FB who could help? I know it's a long shot but thought I would reach out.

      Things that are broken:
Categories: I can add any category except for Information Technology it says it saved but never does. This is a significant issue for me.
Invite: Invite all to my page is broken, it works if I manually select each person but I am not able to invite all. This is a minor thing and has an easy work around.

      Thanks in advance

One word of warning on these, the mic pivot point it's that robust, be semi-ginger with it, and once you set it, leave it alone.

WTF? That would be a hard no. The entire point of a hinged boom mic is to easily move it.

I'll show it to you next time we're together..

I have a similar one and love it:

Also no need to drill holes. Just crush the 8 legged BIOS chip on any drive made in about the last 12 years and it's unrecoverable. Normally marked U12 on the board. If that chip isn't there, no one is getting any data.

So no need to open the drive, remove the platters, scratch both sides to hell with a screwdriver, then bend them in half?

That is basically what I have been doing.

LOL, nope. Unless that's fun for you!?!

    • Known issue with Unifi Access points and 4.3.24.11355 FW

We started having problems with multiple sites where computers connected via Unifi AP's and 4.3.24.11355 firmware can't get an IP.

I found out that there is a known issue with the current firmware.

The work around is to change the SSID name, provision, and then change it back and provision. Unifi also suggested these settings:

      WPA Personal: ON
Block Lan to WLAN multicast data: ON
      Fast Roaming: OFF
      Encryption: AES/CCMP only
      Enable: GTK Rekeying 3600 seconds
      Enable Multicast enhancement: ON
      DTIM mode 2 G 3 and 5G3
      5G Data Rate: ON
      5G data rate: 54Mbps

      Sends beacons at 6Mbps

Or you can of course downgrade the firmware until there is a fixed version.

    • RE: Drive wiping tools

Other than physically destroying unless you have data recovery equipment and edit the G list, no software will do the trick. It doesn't matter how many times you overwrite the data or what pattern you use.

G listed sectors will still contain data as the software will never wipe them because the software can't see sectors that are listed in the G list.

It will be a small amount of data still on the drive (depending on the # of sectors in the G list), but it's not really fully wiped unless you do this.

Also no need to drill holes. Just crush the 8 legged BIOS chip on any drive made in about the last 12 years and it's unrecoverable. Normally marked U12 on the board. If that chip isn't there, no one is getting any data.

@hobbit666 said in How can we recover data from Hard Drives were on RAID 10 without controller?:

@CCWTech said in How can we recover data from Hard Drives were on RAID 10 without controller?:

You don't need a RAID card, in fact don't use one. There is a chance it will overwrite your data. Clone the drives, ONLY work on clones, never on patient drives.

      UFS Explorer Professional
      ReclaimMe Pro

What would you recommend for the cloning side of things?

If the drives are healthy, something like ddrescue does a good job. Cloning the entire drive (even empty sectors) is best.

If the drives are NOT healthy, you need professional data recovery equipment. (Ace Labs PC-3000 or at minimum a Deepspar DDI4). If you have a drive with a physical problem and you try to image it w/o professional data recovery gear, you have a good chance of never seeing the data again.
