Yeah we moved over to A2. We went with their highest wordpress hosting plan. One of the nice features is that they will double memory during spikes and once traffic slows down you will go back to 2GB. Also we were able to bundle our cloudflare business which is only $8 there vs $20.

It's gone off their website and has been gone for ages. Along with most of the original team.

Grandfathered users might still have it.

New York is often insanely slow. Not that slow, but slow. Texas was so fast, we had no idea what was happening it happened so quickly.

We are in process right now. Offer signed last Tuesday, inspection was Friday. The underwriters had all the paperwork late Friday and will start that process today.

You guys are moving along pretty fast, too.

Motivation. Our lease is up on the unit we are in at the end of June. We like the house, but I was seriously worried about the time to close and getting possession in time.

We went through the same thing. Our house was rented up till the end of May

Yeah...the lender we used for our first house (Wells Fargo Home Mortgage) asked us for the same documents 100 times. After about the 10th time I would reply with more angry versions of "you already have that." Unfortunately that response did not work. 😄

The lender we used for our second house (a lady our realtor had a good relationship with...I forget the name of the broker) was better. Only asked for a couple documents more than once. Though this round we put down full 20%. Before we were lowly FHA buyers during the housing crisis so things were stacked up against us...but we prevailed!

Save money by not having to comply? That's not how I read this.

      I read it completely differently.

Right now the government uses it's secret courts to create court orders that demand that MS hand over things, all the while the user has no idea.

This suit appears to be a demand on the part of MS to be allowed to tell whomever the account belongs to that the government has requested/required this information.

Right now if you're being investigated, you might have no clue. And while I understand how this is good for case building as it doesn't give a heads up to the bad guys so they have more time to hide, but it's been shown time and time again how the government gets it wrong and good people end up in bad places because of mistakes by the government. So the sooner you are made adware of things like this, and you've done nothing wrong, the sooner you can start solving any problems that brought you to their attention in the first place.

The free ones are normally limited to once per year.

I wasn't on that short of a time table, but I knew I was buying (building actually) a house. I did a credit check when ground was broken - from that day forward I made sure everything was paid ontime (OK I was a bit sloppy before that) closed a few random accounts that I had opened over the years that I hadn't used in years. By the time 9 months rolled around my score had risen enough to put me in the best lending range - my real estate person was actually shocked. She told me that she had never had someone improve their score during the process, but frequently they had made it worse.

At the time, my pre-ground breaking rate was locked at 6.875%, I saved a full point by improving my score.

Of course that's nothing on the 15 yr 2.875% I have today that I refinanced into a few years ago! Cut seven years off my loan, and actually lowered my mortgage payment by $10/month

He was running an illegal fishing charter (charging people money to fish)

Illegal as in against the law, or against group rules?

Yes it is illegal. Chartering a boat requires a captain's license which is not only expensive, but requires a difficult test.

So it would be legal if they did it legally? It's not chartering per se that is illegal, you are just saying that obviously these people are not captains?

Correct. Charter Fishing is a HUGE industry in Florida. It is very common to charge about $800-1000 a day to fish with 3-4 people . The price usually depends on the experience of your captain

Okay, that makes more sense. It seemed odd that chartering as a thing would be illegal. That it is rigorous makes sense.

Yeah. The laws are pretty strict because it is a safety thing. You want to make sure the captains that are taking these boats out are experienced. Things can get hairy quickly on the water and experience is very important.

Absolutely. You don't want some yahoo going all Christopher Columbus with you on his boat and sailing aimlessly for a week and landing on Cuba and telling you that you've been dropped off in Canada.

The mic drop is not over the send button it was over what was the send and archive button.

If you are doing all import OMG this is horribly critical email, then why the hell would you send and archive in the first place?

Of course if you were sending some horrible OMG important email, for your lively hood, I do not get why you were using personal GMail accounts.

Do they work? Well yes as @IRJ mentioned. But I still will not excuse people for this.

I essentially am a freelancer. I'm a 1 man business, and i'm net 30. That being said, flat fee projects are something I do, and when i'm billing a flat fee, usually there is a 1/2 upon starting the project, and 1/2 when deliverables are.... delivered. i've only had a few clients not pay up within their 30 day window.... which for a small guy like myself is not fun.

Now, this situation you're saddled with seems to not be any fun at all. Sorry you're having bad luck with a "local".

Local, do what you said you'd do. We all in some way or anothe rhelp each other out on this site. You being all willy nilly makes it harder to trust each other.... so just be legit

This is kind of embarrassing, but I am not sure how to check on Linux.

      IIRC - try running 'top'

top is very hard for a newbie to Linux to read and very hard to share with people if they are not sitting at the console, though.

As a linux newbie I liked it lol - to each their own I suppose.

I didn't say that you would not like it... but do you know how to read the load numbers and the memory figures from it, for example? The output is not intuitive.

I recently learned, that for companies like CloudFlare to provide full on secure access as you, they have to be allowed to create certs in your name. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but there are definitely ubber concerned people who won't allow certificates like this to leave their own control.

HSAs are good for anyone that has medical expenses. They lower your tax burden right off, and can be used for a wide range of expenses that might not seem to fit the category, e.g. chiropractic care, dentists, contacts, etc. It might not be useful for everyone to contribute the maximum allowable to it, but I think there can be value for just about anyone.

But for many that benefit is outweighed by the time spent managing your expense to setup the HSA and make claims against it.

Our bank gave us a debit card that charges against the HSA. All we have to do is save our receipts for taxes.

I've seen that done, that's a very nice process.

I agree, I'm lucky, unlike Kelly, I spend way less than the HSA allowed deposits, I have nearly two years of deductibles ready to go... plus I can use HSA for things like glasses, lasik and dental as well.

You don't need a third party store. If you're dumb enough you can just go to the internet and download the first apk you find and install it.

I'm not sure what you're driving at? Of course you can - so? it still requires checking the box to allow third party things to be installed.

I guess I'm confused what your point was here

Just wondering, why did you mention side loading required checking the box, but not installing a third party store?

You mentioned that you don't need a third party store, that if someone was dumb enough they could just download an APK and install it.

I specifically mentioned side-loading, so I wasn't sure what you were driving at? What makes side loading any dumber than installing a third party store?

Ah that's what I didn't get. When I read it I thought you were saying you needed a third party app store after you checked the box. I just misunderstood your statement.

My preferred reader. Although I wish there was a way to add bookmarks to the pdfs.

Or lots of form fills and many other things that the PDF standard allows but Sumatra doesn't support. The reality is as much as Adobe sucks, if you use anything other than acrobat you will likely have some missing features

No question there. For basics Sumatra is awesome. As soon as you need more then Adobe is the way to go.
