Do an update. We released new binary builds for Linux that should address this.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but new installs are having the same selinux issue. Took some digging for me to figure out what was going on. Multiple attempts to install on Fedora 33.

Looks like the problem is with the CDR database. If I remove that from the backup (temporarily), the backup completes as normal.

I have a cradlepoint AER2200 setup with an AT&T connection at a location across town at a warehouse that gets occasional use. We were going to be using handheld wireless bar code scanners that needed connection to our ERP server. I created an IPSec tunnel to our main office and used an ACL to only limit the correct ports to the server here. Anyway, the connection has been reliable even though it doesn't get much use.

They were going to move out of that location and I was happy because I was going to use the cradlepoint in the main office as a backup, but more for out-of-band management, than for the whole company. Now we have at least another 6 months at that location, so I might end up getting a new one for here anyway. We'll see.

I think he is actually saying, you can create the NIC team in Cockpit. (You can, I did it already), but you then just assign that team, via the VM Guest settings. ...I think.

For what's it's worth, that is what I said.

No, Scott says he doesn't use it, not that you shouldn't. Not the same thing 😉

But doesn't this just write it to the /etc/resolve file anyway? I could set DNS statically via the file, but I'm still unclear what the best practice is for FreePBX in regards to DNS.

To not fuck with it unless you have a reason to.

FreePBX is an appliance. A software appliance, but an appliance. You don’t fuck with it under the hood unless you have a good reason to do so.

Or to future proof it all, just run fiber now!

Running of the fiber isn't the issue. It's terminating it that is the issue.

And for a residence. . . really just go WiFi since 802.11ax is on it's way.

We are years away from that being anything worthwhile. Because even wants to spec a standardized and official it’ll be years before all the devices work their way into all the homes and then you replace all the existing devices to finally use the new standard at which point there’s already a new new standard.

@flaxking You mean actual graphs and reports on stats gathered over time? Grafana is all about that

I mean like if you wanted to report on all the different OSes you have running - which I didn't think was possible using Prometheus + Grafana without determining a numeric value for each OS, but it looks like I'm wrong about that.

The only way I can think of doing that is having each OS type in a different job. At least it used to be true that Prometheus doesn't support string metrics. I hadn't seen anything where they've changed that.

      That's how we did it.

My understanding is that once connected, ZT's service doesn't have any impact on the connection. It only brokers(?) the connection.

That's my understanding. But if the brokering goes down, I imagine that problems crop up pretty quickly.

Yes because it has to check in fairly often. Otherwise you could have terminated users still with access.

@scottalanmiller Right. So being legit in this scenario, would be so cost prohibitive, it's not possible realistically.

Exactly. It's not technically impossible, as long as Vultr would tell you the number of physical servers within the datacenter you are in and/or the number that are in a pool that your workload could be moved to, which might be any within the datacenter, or might be a subset.

Same applies to AWS and Azure I assume correct @scottalanmiller ?

      Correct, any cloud.

@dustinb3403 said in Postfix having trouble sending to IPv6:

That would indicate that IPv6 isn't supported.

Not supported on PostFix itself, or in the actual server network config?

Just taking a guess, I would say via the networking.

So I will try this with both IPv4 AND IPv6 listed and see what happens. Specifying IPv4 only works, but I will try both.

      Thanks guys.

The point here is does your server have routable IPv6 available to it?

✔ The postfix instance seems to have IPv6 enable.

✔ Your DNS seems to return IPv6 information.

:question_mark: Does your router have IPv6 enabled?

:question_mark: Does your ISP support IPv6?

This server is a Vultr box. Not using the Vultr Firewall. I just noticed in the Vultr manage page, that IPv6 is available, but no subnet has been assigned. That will do it!

Its a Xeon W, I heard. Which may be why you don't see it on the list.

We ran a bench mark against it recently, and it was pretty obvious that it was a Skylake just for the performance jump.
