Exactly, some hokey ass solution versus the one that is literally on the webpage for xenserver... hrm tough choices....
Just because a solution is shown on the XS webpage doesn't make other solutions non-viable?
Remember when the VMware fanboi's used to say "all other hypervisors weren't worth a damn", had we listened, no one would be using XS.

I don't disagree that other solutions may be viable, but the solutions he was looking at doesn't meet his needs. So why consider them?
Also he doesn't have a solid understanding of what he's doing, and just throwing out random items that he wants, when in fact, all he wants is a free to use, centrally managed XS backup tool.

True but he needs to start by looking at the key solutions and not start with reinventing the wheel.

Ok so another post from JeffCAdmin there a few days ago, where scott has the BA, pointing out why XS and XO is the best solution for his project, and then the post I pointed out here yesterday where he's questioning XO as a viable enough solution.
Pick a side of the coin, and stay there man...

NodeBB instance down. No idea how to even start a service.
But losing thousands of users.

And can't read the errors. We can all see in plain language that "no such service" or that his database is gone but he isn't reading the error messages to see what they say.

Why is HPE asking this type of question?
I suppose I understand to keep active and posting, but I can't even begin to understand the reasoning beyond that.
Why did you virtualize? Um because I'd be retarded to not virtualize. . . .

Where's my link to one of @scottalanmiller's articles on virtualization when I need it daggumit.

I do, that's why I don't spend nearly as much time in that muck, even before I found mangolassi.it.

That still isn't an excuse. The question should be, have you considered these reasons when virtualizing, if you haven't virtualized you really should. . .
And list every reason under the sun for virtualizing.
But I supposed...

I dare you to go over there and post something with the word "retarded".... you'll get the RojoLoco treatment (David Bass nuking your post and getting a boner over it).

It also happens if you dare to disparage any political entity (left or right, doesn't matter). $deity forbid you say anything bad about their precious vendors... they'll run you out of their little circle jerk on the rails... just like they did to me.

That would be their stance only if Lenovo wasn't paying their SW bills.

This guy is / wants to run spiceworks from his desktop running windows 10 pro.
A few issues, it's a desktop and will run like shit. the system is also being used to run your Goldmine Database (which will make the system run even more like shit) and lastly he wants to run the Network Monitor on it as well..

Clearly he's missing out on some performance, he should load up VirtualBox and run them all in VM's on that desktop. That'll help for sure.
