Either, i suppose. But specifically an open source ticket system that runs on Linux.

I tried Rundeck. It was more confusing than just using Ansible without a GUI. IMO, just having the playbook with yaml and jinja files is easier to read and use. GUIs always have at least one thing you need in a place you wouldn't think.

I guess I wouldn't mind having some reports in a GUI but I'll stick with just text files.

I've been using calendar.google.com since I accepted that at least one company will know more about me than I do myself. I've got other apps pulling the schedule in as well.

There was once a good old day when Linksys was good...

I run DD-WRT on a Netgear Blackhawk (D7000 iirc, not one of the new ones), and it's been solid. Of course Comcast decided to push a friendly firmware update to my cable modem this weekend which reset the config, took it out of bridge mode and re-enabled the modem's own DHCP and routing services (and Lord knows what else), taking me offline. Annoying (not to mention a potential security nightmare)... mostly because I spent an hour jacking around before it even occurred to me to login to the modem and check it's settings.

      Are you me? lol

This happened to me a couple weeks ago - same setup, same software, different router.

Yes, if the just didn't mention it, I would assume that I was going to be using GIT to keep it updated. It's only because they so strongly state otherwise that I looked at the repos.

I'm not clear what you are asking. Do you want a list of ALL files under said /directory or are you looking for only certain ones?

      Every single file under /this/directory.

      Oh okay.

      find /dir -type f -print

Where /dir is the directory name in question. See if that gives you want you want.

That gives me the absolute path, but no date. I found this command that gets me a little closer:

      find /this/directory -type f -exec stat -c "%n %y" {} ;

      Gives me this:

      /this/directory/data/EFile/DOC/227349_FS86478.pdf 2011-08-19 10:21:22.000000000 -0700

But it's not ideal, yet. I'd need to delimit the file and timestamp with something other than a space. I would love to eliminate the decimal on the seconds as well as the timezone, but I can work around those.

Easier to work with the date if you use UNIX time instead of a human readable format. And you can use the cut command to trim off anything trailing that you don't want.

It's already been shown to them how cars can be completely taken over via the internet. I think the cellular vendor in that case turn on a firewall that disabled this - for now.

That has nothing to do with a standardized OS system to run vehicles.

I was mainly referencing Johnhooks comment about not trusting car companies that much.

I agree that this project can only be a good thing - hopefully more manufacturers will join and we will all have safer, more secure systems in our future cars.

But if too many join in, then we will have a single OS and a single point of attack for would be attackers.

Is that really a concern? While there are many versions of Linux, How many servers are running the most popular versus how many cars there?

Seems like it would be a concern of the utmost importance. Creating a single attack target that is primarily maintained by consumers is what caught Windows, right?

Sure, but cars today aren't maintained at all - by anyone.

Nor do most have a single, shared OS or exposed APIs.

I'll give you they don't have a single shared OS, though exposed (sure not over the internet) APIs, it seems there are more exposed that we realize, just most require local access or something like bluetooth.

I don't have a problem with a numbers game - but when I see things like this I say - em - who cares? A billion users? so what? Now you tell me there are a billion active installs? Or that a billion people have it installed on a device they use physically, now I start to care (but only if those are important numbers to whatever I'm trying to figure out).

But the fact that there are 1 billion plus users of Ubuntu, again - who cares?

Well... plug-in downloaded source, compiled, installed and activated.
In "Setting/Plugins" I can see now the "backup-reports" and "transport-email" plugins.
I made some simple test with "Backup Jobs" and all seems ok.

      Thanks guys.
