There has been talk about using a chat function at my office in the past, but in the same breath it was mentioned how catty all the women there (by the boss, who is a woman) and pretty much dismissed.

Furthermore, our EHR recently enabled global chat as well, so we'd probably use that instead.

Exactly, how do you know you were hacked? Unencrypted Kerberos packets can be used in an offline attack to crack a password, but if you're using a strong enough password this would take to long.

So first things first, I'd say use a better password, but if you're still worried about it, do as @scottalanmiller suggests and upgrade and encrypt your authentication traffic.

We've also had really good luck with Jabra Pro stuff. Any of their lower lines I avoid like the plague, but the Pro stuff is great. As much as I like Plantronics, I would actually rate Jabra Pro higher than Plantronics for functionality and ease of use in an office environment.

Downvote! Then again, I'm the PLT fanboy, so what can I say?

That value isn't a .NET date/time value so Get-Date won't be able to process it properly (hence the year 0415). So I tried this: http://superuser.com/questions/398983/how-do-i-decode-the-faulting-application-start-time-in-a-windows-event-log-ent

      (get-date "01/01/1601").AddSeconds(0x01d0b26dc6a4a844 / 10E+6)

      And got:

      Monday, June 29, 2015 1:16:14 PM

      Seems much better!

Interesting - same link I used. I didn't notice that the read through.

Sigh, and I thought consumer wise at least Samnsung was as good as HP and Dell.

First rule of buying computers, avoid consumer.

Sure, I guess I was giving them to much credit because there are no business class phones or TVs, two places they make a pretty decent product in.

I also noticed if I used the *78 to activate DND/*79 to deactivate DND, I can't reverse DND from the soft button because the phone assumes it's already in the desired state. I can activate (on) DND, then turn around and deactivate it.

Just something to keep in mind, in case anyone was wondering.

It was the motherboard. Tested the PSUs this morning with replacements and no issues with the originals. Swapped out the motherboard and the baby fired right up. We are currently recovering everything and anticipate zero data loss. No need to even fall back to the backups.

So HP engineering said that this should work but they had not tested it. Make sure you are fully up to date on the firmware and the P410 should be able to go to the P400 safely. But.... caveat emptor, of course.

I thought I read some where that Microsoft is making the jump from 6.4 to 10, which will be the first time the os and kernel match. I could be wrong though.

Linux did a renumbering too, recently, to make the number more marketable. But 3.0 is actually part of the 2.6 family. At best you could consider it 2.8. Microsoft may do the same thing, switch from a meaningful numbering to a marketing number. But the new kernel is remaining part of the Vista kernel family.

I have never successful gotten an ELK server up and running and ingesting logs. I really need to get on this.

Digital Ocean has some great documentation on it. I love having an ELK server without any licensing limitations.

The one really sad part, though, is that it is a single user login out of the box and the user management component Shield is non-free.

Pfsense doesn't do well performance wise virtalized. At least it didn't used to. I think they have a pay for version optimized for VM platforms.

It's just FreeBSD plus drivers, right? It should do as well as FreeBSD does on whatever platform is in question. That FreeBSD doesn't have PV support for Xen is a major drawback to FreeBSD as a platform in general. But it should only be a question of drivers, in general.
