What Are You Doing Right Now

Heading out for my daily walk.

I'd love to walk but someone starting shooting at cops yesterday on center street (2 mins away from me) and is currently holding a hostages.

This logic is all wrong.
Why would this mean you cannot walk. The area has more policed coverage now than normal.
The known shooter is not running around, they are contained with hostages.
Don't make excuses.

There is a war going on with the police in this area in general. My co-workers won't walk to lunch when it's nice out. It's a bad area (apparently). @BRRABill would know.

Some people just don't want to be out and about when there are active shooters with hostages in the relative vicinity.

So live in fear and shut the fuck ip then. Don't blame it as a reason you cannot do something when the reason is your fear.
I have lived and worked in many shit ass areas. I never let a fear of might be stop me from doing a damned thing.
-
@JaredBusch I kinda want to up vote that, but the over arching tone makes me want to down vote. . . .
I agree, don't not do something because you're afraid of something else.
Do what you want, when you want.

I'll have to agree with this. I've been to the worst ghettos and areas imaginable, when I was working as a security systems tech. Philly, Camden NJ, Columbus OH, DC (and area), and other cities on the east coast. I still got in and got the job done.

It's literally going on like a street away? Who walks into oncoming danger just because they are stubborn? It's stupid

That would be stupid. We all know my opinion of that. But you lack a grasp perspective here.
There is no active situation where you are.

Well if there's a hostage situation and shooting presently going on "A Street"... it's common sense to not go there. But if there's not an active situation... different story.

A street away is not 2 minutes. So your perspective is wrong as I said on my last post. Just wrong to the opposite way than most would assume hearing 2 minutes.

There is a difference between knowingly walking into a dangerous area, and finding out after the fact too. I'm in your boat @wirestyle22 . I'd stay at the office, unless the place I want to go is in the opposite direction of the action.
I'm no stranger to danger, but to steal a line from Dragon Warrior (or Dragon Quest, maybe?) "Tempt not the fates!" lol.
