There is only one price. I don't think that Apple does any extra markup on the drives after the fact. They are the same price up front or later. So no extortion pricing, it's all level pricing. That's one of the Apple advantages. Sure, you have a higher price starting point, but you get all price transparency and the majority of the price pain up front. There are no surprises and later price jacks once people are locked in, even though they are locked in.

That won't change your running shell. But now you can use the traditional ulimit command to alter the running shell....

Only sometimes. It said that it could not determine it when I went to look into it. But normally, on the same IP, it sets to where I actually am. So it is not consistent.

Based on what you've told me, the main uplink is usually satellite, right? That could be it. Or maybe it's relaying to another tower somewhere else.

It's never going to be where your house it. It's wherever the ISP connects to the backbone/peering connections.

Nearly any sat link for this part of the world shows up as Belgium. I'm not on a sat, if I was, that's where it would likely terminate.

Click on the Launchpad. It is right there someplace. That is the "All Applications" icon equiv. the start menu.

Mine is in a subgroup Other that I pushed most things to in order to have a 1 page Launchpad.

I am not going to take the time to read through the site rules as I do not even have an account, but I question if that can be done without the developers consent.

That would still put it back on the developer and I will simply not support a developer that does it. same as I no longer support Sun/Java products if at all possible.

I rarely have any lockup issues with my MB unless I have recently changed added something that the OS didn't like. If you can disable the AV you will probably be golden. I don't run active AV though I do scan once a week with Clam. I have yet to find anything but BS tracking cookies that I haven't dumped yet.

Try running the built in Encryption and Firewall if you are able.

This part just really gets me.

There is no way to audit such ad hoc workflows that traverse devices and don't need to go through a common network. Without auditing, you can neither assure compliance, nor really manage security. Ultimately, we'll have to let go of those notions for the vast majority of data and workflows, using other means to validate access and information checkin/checkout and worrying less about what happens in between.

How can you get away with this in any organization that has any kind of over site?

@Katie I think it got longer than normal support due to the fact that it could still run the old code.

Does anyone like Objective-C? So outdated and painful.
