Wondering whatโ€™s the difference between Oracle VirtualBox, VMware Workstation, and QEMU? Check out our latest comprehensive comparison by Dmytro Malynka, StarWind Product Manager, to choose the best Type 2 hypervisor for your virtualization projects. Read more here: https://starwind.com/s/9S

This graphic is very deceptive. The article never mentions using QEMU with VirtualBox, only KVM.

Often they can't because they've seen too much closed code ๐Ÿ˜ž

What if they move north of the border? Or south...

@MrWright4hire said in WHO HAS KNOWLEDGE OF NETSUITE, BY ORACLE:

Aw ok! There is a position for a System Admin, but they would like for you to have knowledge of this Netsuite.

That's weird since NetSuite would have no relationship to a System Admin role. Run away, it's a fake job title. System Admin skills sets do not overlap with SaaS Application Admin. No crossover in skills. That means you are looking at a really screwed up company with processes that make it impossible to really make yourself valuable.

And that's why I dub you as my Tech BIG BROTHA! Thank you for that advice as well as great point.

@DustinB3403 said in Why You Need to Fear the Oracle vs Google Case:

@Dashrender But the lawyers who are bringing this case, will do everything in their power to not allow programmers into the jury. They'll say "Thank you, you're free to go"

They wouldn't allow an educated in the subject matter person be on the jury as it ruins their chances of winning the suit.

I understand that's how it works today - but I can't imagine, and Scott's already comment that it (I think) wasn't intended that way, that it was intended that way by our forefathers.

Right, the terminology of "peers" has been misused. It's not juries of our peers in nearly any cases.

SuperMicro is beginning to make the lines between Tier 1 and Tier 2 blurry as they increase their level of engineering on their products and begin to offer more and more enterprise class support for their products.

The quote indicates leaving 6 billion on the table, i.e. shrinking the market value... sure they are talking about increasing their own share, but the market overall would be shrinking. Wouldn't others step in to bring the market back to the full 9 billion? or am I missing something? the market has already shown that it's willing to pay at least 9 billion to do what they do.

The market was willing to pay $9bn when no other options existed. Other options now exist. Like any market, competition shrinks markets. Just like how IBM, HP and Dell have decimated the server market total size by lowering the cost per company. And how Amazon has. But as we have seen Amazon killing the server market still makes Amazon a LOT of money!

I am not going to take the time to read through the site rules as I do not even have an account, but I question if that can be done without the developers consent.

That would still put it back on the developer and I will simply not support a developer that does it. same as I no longer support Sun/Java products if at all possible.
