Though for that matter, a previous place I worked at - had a 5 year old server alpha server they sold for a mint to a client. My friend was unaware that his company sold it to him... and told the client - uh, you should really replace this, it's 5+ and alpha... a rare dog these days...
Oh man was he in some BS hot water after that.. but It didn't last that long.

I've known this for a long time now, but nobody around here is even trying to convince anyone to move off of it.
