That is just a silly thing to say. PoE and PoE+ require, per the IEEE standard, category 5, but is still allowed to be ran on category 3 for lower wattage workloads.

I haven't installed many PoE+ cameras and have only had those running less than a year. Do you have a number of PoE+ cameras running on CAT5? Longer runs? I'm wondering why the camera company I was dealing made such a big deal about 23 guage CAT6 for their cameras. Maybe because it had a heater?

You mean a heater as in a heating unit? I guess? A quality cat5e cable will tolerate temperatures from -4 to 167 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep in mind I run a lot of cabling for my company but I am by no means a cabling guru. Maybe they know something I don't. shrug

He means a heater in the camera enclosure.

WELP. I took a chance boys.

I don't have to typically deal with harsh winters even though we were hit with a sizable blizzard this year in NJ.

On top of Chromebooks being the top need for average users, they've also become the best sellers for them, too.

Like the others, I'd recommend using VLANs only if you need them to secure something. For instance, in a college where I worked previously, I helped migrate from the stacks of switches that @scottalanmiller mentions to a network using VLANs to separate student traffic from the admin traffic.

You will definitely need a router (or layer 3 switch) or firewall to ensure that the VLANs have access to the internet, but not to one another.

But you posted it in a public forum... Spamming to commence in 3...2...1...

Sorry, that was a (poorly executed, I guess) joke about guessing account names.

Also looking for a centralize console (single dashboard ) for monitoring all the backups and report on the activities. Push restore from the console

that we can't get from Veeam free 🙂

The Veeam free products don't offer that, but their paid versions do.

They have a paid version of their desktop backup tool?

No, but if you have a paid Veeam solution and point Endpoint Backup at it you can see status there as well as get email notifications.

Ah, good to know. What not aware of any integration.

You don't need a third party store. If you're dumb enough you can just go to the internet and download the first apk you find and install it.

I'm not sure what you're driving at? Of course you can - so? it still requires checking the box to allow third party things to be installed.

I guess I'm confused what your point was here

Just wondering, why did you mention side loading required checking the box, but not installing a third party store?

You mentioned that you don't need a third party store, that if someone was dumb enough they could just download an APK and install it.

I specifically mentioned side-loading, so I wasn't sure what you were driving at? What makes side loading any dumber than installing a third party store?

Ah that's what I didn't get. When I read it I thought you were saying you needed a third party app store after you checked the box. I just misunderstood your statement.

    Quick question.
What config file do I edit in Centos7 to change the web interface of zabbix from using 80 to something like 8088??

    Sorted...
I forgot Firewalld was running when I edited the httpd.conf file and was trying to test it.

Need to know anyone is using this feature and how benefit it is ? . Does the exchange share calendar work with rackspace email ? Does the resource mailbox is accessible by rackspace email users ?

They might now, but back when we were using Rackspace Email (which was excellent) it did not, so you had two completely independent pools of users. All that they could do was email each other.

Here's another option someone else found.

    @VivekSharma..

i too was installing the client access on win 7 32 bit, it work perfectlty, but when installing on windows 7 64 bit got the error XCOPYFILE-2 error, each time on every machine win 7 64 bit, so then to be able to installed the client access, i’ve put the windows 64 bit on safe mode, on an administrator account, then start the client access on compatibility mode, win xp sp3, and start the installation, and the program install corectly, then restart the computer in normal mode, and use the client access.. it works without any error. on every machine.

Well this might have worked in WIn7 x64, but does not in Windows x64

If it is a restart of the Hyper-V host, then check the services once it fails to respond like that.

Well looks like I might actually have to go over there. I tried to switch users and it looks like it's stuck or something. TeamViewer is hung on a cannot display error. Suck.

Never seen that with SC, just saying 😉

Well I normally use NoMachine and connect to the ZT network I set up for them. But somehow she screwed that up as well. So this was a last ditch effort to get something working.

So in the end I use Robocopy just to get the file transfer over. Still, we cannot rename or add any other files to the same folder.

(space), and symbols. I have to remove the symbol temporary just to get robocopy does its job. As for spaces, you will need to put quotation between the space.

@alex.olynyk That is seriously ass-backward logic, but okee dokee.... your boss is obviously not very technical, so have fun with all that. Using a central console is the best way to do this, it will save the company time / $$$ in the future.

"Numecent, which develops a "buttpaging" platform that delivers runs code from my butt on local systems, has received significant funding to bring its software to Android and Linux.

Numecent's buttpaging feature lets computers download and instantly run code from my butt. The big idea is to make it possible to virtualize entire operating systems in my butt without actually running them there -- a solution that allows users to make the most of both butt hosting and virtualization, without the limitations that usually accompany them."

Incase anyone ever wonders why I tired of hearing the word "cloud" a lot. Look at it! Look! Cloudy cloud cloud cloud cloud. /rant.

@dafyre I know on one of my Dell machines I did a new driver that seemed to fix the vmq performance issue; on the other I did just completely shut it off.

I'd be less hesitant to leave it enabled if I could trust it to not cause problems.
