Sadly that's for version 2, which isn't interchangeable.

One thing for sure, you need to disable Secure Boot - which is probably somewhere else in the setup.

Yep. That's what locks out other devices booting.

But this can be solved if the OS you want to install has a cert for UEFI - and Ubuntu does.. so you can install that into the UEFI.

Oh we have clients who do this as well. It usually takes months to get them conditioned to react calmly when they do then we get things done more quickly and efficiently.

Oh, tricky. It is called Elastix MT and the "3.0" monicker has been retired. That is VERY confusing.

    @scottalanmiller said:

I don't look at the site very often. First I've seen the MT monicker.

I've told you this before in another thread.

I missed that the name changed too. I knew that the products had split.

Yes, study materials of all sorts are good. Cheating is bad and hurts everyone, not just you personally or your region but it undermines the industry as a whole as well.

@Reid-Cooper OK I have disabled my firewall and gave only the IP address for the system to be in remote

This makes no sense...enable the firewall and allow port 5900 in IPTables.

Okay, so if I Archive + Label, it will act like a folder, more or less?

What happens if you Archive but don't Label?

The message, for all intents just vanishes.... but you can get to mail that is archived with no labels on Gmail by searching for

    -label:inbox and has:nouserlabels

    That should get you there.

Or just click all mail as noted above. No need for arcane search syntax.

We have auditors. They aren't a scam. Sometimes a bit misguided as some of the auditors have very little tech experience but not a scam.

However, I will make a point of saying that it's a government requirement and we all work for the same clowns.

Government ones are the worst. CJIS is very strict.

    CJIS? What is that?

I'll go ahead and make up some silly alternatives because that's the way my head works.
    Courtroom Justice In Space
    Counter Jargon Idiot Spectrum
    Charles Jest Intolerable Stabber
    Can Julie Investigate Satchels
    Cruise Joke In Ship

CJIS is Criminal Justice Information Systems It's from the FBI.

Oh, I see. That just screams boatloads of red tape, bureaucracy and migraines

There are third party utilities that will do it. But I need an official Microsoft method of doing it. And if it's nuke and pave, then it's nuke and pave.

I'm not even sure the nuke and pave method is legit as well, as it requires all kinds of fun interrupting of the installation process to make it happen.

That's why I'm in search of anything Microsoft. My google-fu fails me.

You don't have to interrupt the install process, boot into recover mode, I think there is a format utility in there.

Well POTS just uses address on file most of the time. The bigger problem is when people don't know how to setup these properly using multiple buildings and it happens a lot. The PD was always having to deal this it when I was working for the Town. They get a call and respond to the business only to find out it was actually at their second building or something.

Yeah, they didn't in my house. I lived in Greece and the line in my house was registered as Rochester or Webster. Frontier had terminated a Xerox PBX line to my house instead of my personal phone line. So if I called 911, they thought that the call was coming from a Xerox facility a few cities away.
