@tim_g In all honesty I just need to track where I've left off. Sometimes I honestly can't remember and I'll get on a machine and feel like I've put on too much weight. I don't know if I am truly over weight from my last visit, or if I'm being lazy.
If I know where I left off, I'll know that I'm at minimum not regressing...if that makes sense. So all I really need I guess is something to track the exercise, weight (or whatever important metric the exercise entails), and date. Perhaps a Google Sheet is all I really need...but not sure how easy manipulating that on my phone would be.
When I did it, I used one from bodybulding.com taht I bought. I'll see if I can find it. That's your best bet. Using an app on your phone will take too long. Pen and paper is the best way to go imho.
I'll update this reply when i find it.
Edit: This is what I used: https://www.bodybuilding.com/store/bodybuildingcom-accessories/fitness-log.html
Looks a little different from when I had it, but same stuff. This looks a little better too.
Ooo. That's not bad.
I ended up picking up one of the sheets that my gym provides and am using that. The only annoyance is juggling the sheet, a pen, my water, and my phone. lol
I think what I may end up doing is logging everything initially on paper and then putting it into a Google Sheet or something later on. I do want to track my progress. I like seeing the numbers go in the right direction.

I did put my workout schedule on bodyspace.bodybuilding.com and was using their app for a good 2 or so months.
I'll no longer be using it. It doesn't save workout progress correctly, or reflect updates or changes I make to my workout templates.
I'm going to be going back to using my https://timothygruber.com/gym schedule after making a few exercise changes to it. (for the better)
Also, I've found that the bodybuilding.com app was wasting time that I was already short on. That's another reason I'm losing it and going back to just my blog page and my stopwatch (on my phone).

New study regarding processed foods and sugar. Very important read if you don't want cancer.

Yes, but this helps to show how serious it is and relieves any doubt.

Second week in my diet and I have lost 14 pounds. I am eating healthy but when you cut out sugar and soda it is amazing how much weight you initially loose right away.

I lost around 20 lbs over the past week.... you really don't want this sort of weight loss program tho. It was all water bloat from heart issues.

I didn't think I would enjoy the gym as much as I do. I also have two corgis now that will herd me and force me to run.

I loved it when I had a gym in my apartment building. That was great.

We have a free gym in my work building, maintained by the building. It is small but it is nice. I used it to take walks when it is hot and humid out or too cold for me to go outside for a walks.

We're really starting to stop with the processed foods, added sugars, plastics, etc...
On top of that, 5-6 oz of red wine almost every night, then drinking water before bed. I've been falling asleep so much faster, and my sleep quality has been so much better. I've been waking up to go to the gym around 5:15 to be there around 5:30am.
I started my "Alternate Workout", to give myself a boost...
Monday: 30 minutes of gym time (mostly stretching, stomach exercises if time permits, and 5-10 mins of cardio)
Tuesday: Day 1
Wednesday: Rest day
Thursday: Day 2
Friday: Day 3
Saturday: Rest day
SUnday: Rest dayHowever, this week, I got to the gym late on Thursday, so I could only do half of my workout. So I finished the other half today, plus stomach. I'll do Day 3 tomorrow on Saturday.

No time to go to the gym? Do it before work if it's mathematically possible.
Go to bed an hour earlier.
Find out when your gym opens... mine opens at 5:30, so I have time for a 45-60 minute workout and then a shower before going to work.
So long as you don't start work too early or your commute isn't too long, try it! It's a nice way to start the day.

You can also use a 24 hour gym, we have some around here.

Yeah i'm limited to going to the YMCA though, or I would. No sense in paying double memberships when we can do a cheap family one there.

Gotcha, that is good. I am doing it at home so far with HIIT Workouts.

Oh that’s weird. Our Y is super expensive. The yearly fee is $300 something alone and the the monthly costs. The gym I go to is only $36 a month and it’s 24/7.

Most gym's are cheaper than the Y. I had a membership for a while and it was $20/month for 24/7 access nationwide. And I could bring as many people per day as I wanted (1 at a time).

The YMCA I go to is a family plan... me, my wife, and children, plus child watch up to 2 hours at a time. It's $88 a month.

One time I was sad so I went to the gym at 3 am and did a work out. Then my friends texted me if I was still up and we went to crappy diner and ate hash browns. it was a good time. I'm glad gyms are open 24/7.
