Well the government here was on the news for paying for a former board members family's lunchen. Over $11,000 of tax payers money. Stay classy local govt.

I'm writing a post on Mangolassi. My wife is watching some show "Married at first site". I'm preparing for a MOP tonight (Maintenance of an IPTV product I'm the administrator of for a small telecom)

Trying to get one of our managers to understand that software licensing isn't optional... this isn't the first time I've had this conversation with them.

One place I worked had use an illegal copy of intelliadmin on all the govt agency computers. It was installed by my boss before I started working there. I even found the keygen on the network share. Sadly he didn't get in any trouble at all for a stunt like that.

I'm working on removing admin privileges from everyone's machine so that stuff like this doesn't happen. Our ERP system requires it... but thankfully I've found a workaround.

This was install by the sys admin so little could be done to prevent it. He even prevented me from installing antivirus and running scans over the network on his computer by counting to disable all firewall exceptions.

Wondering why I'm having issues with IPv6 and Offline files?

A GPO should solve that problem for you.

They were done by GPO. He have some batch registry installs he downloaded to run at login of his computer to disable any restrictions from the domain and he wouldbt use any computer with his limited normal account. He always loging as a domain admin no matter what.

Trying to figure out what is wrong with this SBS2008 server that refuses to back up.

Nah, SBS has worked great for years as long as you always use the built in wizards.
Now, it is on the migration plan for this fall to move off it though.
