My wife is blasting Queen through the house. I never really appreciated what an amateur band they were. It's all theatrics and nostalgia. Musically, they were absolute crap. They'd never make it today as a serious band. It's really amazing how poor they sound when you just hear them in the background playing and aren't listening to them with rose coloured ear buds.

You may be being a bit harsh? They were a product of their time, just like everything else. Cars from back then would be absolute crap now for the same reasons.

You have to go by how they were judged in their time. They were extremely popular worldwide, so going by that you can only conclude that what they did appealed to a very broad range of tastes so therefore they were very good at what they did, at that time.

Me, i've never been much of a fan.

Music is a bit different. Even compared to music of the time, this was like a big joke right? This seems like novelty music from doctor Demento, bot actually meant to be listened to as music.

Hahaha, there's so much music like that, girl bands, boy bands, hair metal bands. It's produced to make money not necessarily leave humanity with an increase in social riches.

          Rock on!

Harmonic language of their stuff is generally more interesting that much of their contemporaries.

Insurance stufff was handled here last week. No changes to plan but a price increase. Which means my paycheck went down by $10 a month.... /sigh (no pay raise this year).

I'm considering two of our higher deductible options. I don't think they're the right choice for me, but I'm curious to estimate some of the costs.

Insurance increased here too. But I was lucky to get raise a month ago.

My choice is 2700, 4000 or 1500 if go without HSA.

Around here, $2700/month is considered a high pay rate, $4000/month you should be living like a king. That's crazy.

I'm looking at $3600/7200 for single/spouse or child with an HSA contribution from my employer. No cost increase but we got a benefits increase.

                          Which is nice.

Ha! User unloaded a bit on me about how her having to stay late on Friday because of $Tier1Support led to her hitting a deer and totaling her car while driving home.

Note: Ticket was escalated to me on Friday. I reached out at 9:00 AM and offered to be available at any time other than during a team meeting that was scheduled for that morning. At 3:30 PM she responded asking to wait until Monday after 10:00 AM for troubleshooting.

                                    Got to love users.

Almost about to head to work but I was smart enough to log into Workday and found out its a holiday today.

Would've of been pretty sad arriving to work and I'm the only one there.

Yeah, supposed to be a holiday. We thought that onboarding people today would be good because it would be so slow.

Nope, not the case. been a crazy day.

It's a holiday for a few industries, not every industry. I'm at work today along with a lot of other people.
