We are packing LIKE CRAZY. Too much to do to take a load to storage today. But we are loading the van and I'll take it tomorrow. We are down to one car because Paul already sold his, and he has to deal with tons of emergency COVID tests and things (emergency because of travel stuff, not because of having COVID) that require the only vehicle. He leaves Monday morning.
I'll be off to Houston tomorrow with a load for the storage unit. We are in the home stretch now!
We have someone over working in the yard today getting as much as possible ready.
Dominica is busily painting the dining room today.
With the move, will the house be sold?

Sadly my daughter is sick so we can't go to the festival this weekend.
-
Saturday, I cut the grass, did school supply shopping, and grocery shopping.
Then parked my ass in the house in the A/C. Fuck 95+Today it is raining all day.
-
Don't know about your way - but the heat index just makes it that much more the suck...
Should have finished the grass yesterday but I likely would not have finished before it rained yesterday either. .. and it's been wet enough that it would need to be raked as well.. so I only got what was seen from the street for the moment.
Forecast: Rain most of the week,... again.

She's not feeling too badly now. But very sad that we had to miss the big event. She was really excited about it on Friday.

Chinandega
took the bus?
I did!
-
It's a surprisingly cheap and easy bus to take. it's like $1.20 per person and maybe 45 minutes. Very easy. And they sell you snacks and drinks as you get onto the bus and it drops you off in a market with lots of taxis and food stalls.

I assumed, but thought I'd ask - you don't have a car there, right?

No, but we are casually shopping for one. It would be handy with all of the stuff that we do now in other cities. And our places aren't on the bus routes, so you have to go to the city then get a taxi. Makes it a pain as we expand. We have three businesses up north in Departmento Chinandega which isn't far, but it makes it hard to deal with especially as the buses aren't going to run at 1am when we'd often want to take them.
