I think people do, however, need to set their expectations accordingly. You're not going to get 1080p @ 30 FPS on a DSL connection.
Right, the expectation has to be that the game will "work", but will cost too much and perform poorly. Um.... so given the proper expectations, my point is made.
Cost will be the biggest issue. I've not seen any poor performance... but of course ,my home internet is up to par.
WAN links just go down or slow down from time to time. No way around that.

Yep. Nothing they can do if you lose your internet... not their fault, ha ha. Vortex did a good job at adapting to changing conditions. (IE: Starting a Netflix stream on my TV, my wife downloading a game update on her laptop, and steam installing a game on my Laptop, while trying to game from a bluetooth controller on my tablet).
I personally don't think they'll be able to beat a half decent computer. I just think the concept is fine... I mean VDI faces the same challenges.

It IS their fault for taking something that works great already and making it rely on the WAN for no reason. That's the entire point of why the idea is stupid. Introducing problems for no reason.

No, hosted desktops over the WAN face those challenges. VDI does not. VDI doesn't imply a WAN connection.
This is an "all WAN" concept. But fundamentally.... why?

so you can play 'awesome' games on your phone.

I'm hoping that Sekiro is great but the gameplay makes me question if I will like it
-
@wirestyle22 reviews are good. What I've heard is that it's all based around parrying instead of dodging or blocking like the other SoulsBourne games, so that takes some getting used to.

You already can't do that even with streaming on LAN tech. Between wifi and phone limitations, already doesn't do that.

And lack of good controllers.

Sekiro
I'm currently playing Dragon Age Inquisition (yes for the first time).
I pre-ordered Sekiro Shadows Die Twice.I'm looking forward to Cyberpunk 2013 (I mean 2077, but had to pay homage to the original R. Talsorian table top version) and Death Stranding.

I remember the first one the most. I haven't played through the second one enough times to remember it yet, lol. I have DA: Origins too, I think. Not sure which game store it's on, ha.

I am incredible at FPS games typically and I am absolutely terrible at Apex. I can't get used to the way you shoot in it

Picked up X4 Foundations last night. Now I'll probably loose most of a weekend to playing it.
