This is probably one of the least invasive data collection templates I've seen.
That's the beauty of open source, make it too painful or intrusive and people will fork you and remove it.

Bringing back what reminds me of the old 3.5" full-height form factor in 2.5" size this time. I wonder how many servers will have drive basis tall enough for these? Hopefully not all custom build servers.

Does seem pretty mad, he wasn't using cracked copies or using dodgy keys, seems completely waste of court time and waste of money, especially when there a lot more things to worry about in the U.S....

Yup, he did zero damage and just did something that the vendor was supposed to do instead. It's not that the act wasn't allowed, but there is some grey area as to whether he was allowed to do it or not. Basically, the court screwed the pooch here and clearly the judge doesn't understand the case.
