      Fedora Had Another Innovating Year

Apparently wayland is for GUI and xorg is command-line...

      https://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/phoronix/latest-phoronix-articles/995611-fedora-linux-had-another-innovative-year?p=995637#post995637

I can understand why they feel that way. Wayland has no network transparency so it’s going to be a full Remote Desktop session of some type (VNC, SPICE, etc.).

I think they possibly just worded it strange.

This is interesting. I really like the part where they want all algorithms to be open source.

15.5 that is. I've been on Deepin even longer. Like most of a year.

@scottalanmiller Still enjoying the experience? it's great to see that the developers are constantly working on adding new features.

My machine is older and it is slick there, too. Although does bog down from time to time.

Is running fine on a Toshiba satellite and i3 with 4GB of RAM and SSD.

Unique interface (they make their own), and nearly everything is their own apps. So the whole experience is pretty unique.

And the download takes days, as it comes from China and they are swamped with the new release out.
