I can't even

Actually I give up on that thread. We don't even know what he means by cluster.
We don't know what version of Windows/Hyper-V is being implemented. The OP has only responded 4 times and never clarified anything.
So much is being assumed. I have a lot of questions to the OP that have never been answered, and it doesn't look like he intends on answering them. So I'm done.

That's a common problem. OPs that won't respond leave everyone wanting to discuss and nothing to work with. So it just spirals into a world of guessing and loads of discussion based on the guessing.

I have given up on many posts where the OP does not respond to questions. I give OP's about 3 hours to respond after the first response with questions. If they cannot bother to check back, why waste the time answer with assumptions.

The platform really encourages that behaviour. It doesn't show updates and encourages you to leave and await an email or something. That pattern is good for tiny, slow sites that no one is looking at. But when people are responding in real time and you aren't sticking around to watch, it doesn't go over well.

Dur dur dur
OP is asking for recommendations on how to setup high availability, using an OBR5 SSD array (great, wonderful you have your head on) needs some recommendations for how to create backups, and what hypervisor / backup solution he should consider.
First reply:
RAID 5 isn't used anymore today, you want RAID10.

Interviewing for a dev position. Thought [person] was interviewing for my position. Still though. . .

@eddiejennings Can't the seat cool off a little bit before they find a replacement?

Nope. Feed the new hires to the wolves!

Saw a survey today with 41% of responses being non-viable answers for the question. Really simple question that should not cause confusion. And even with a two page discussion that explains why things are wrong, 41% are still guaranteed wrong as their answers aren't viable - and they have had chances to go back and modify them to be viable. This suggests that of the 59% that responded with viable answers were often just guesses. That nearly half of respondents can't even determine what a plausible answer is would make us expect that around half, at least, of those that got plausible answers got them wrong.

Well what do you expect?
is a silly platform where their policies do not allow for open and honest IT discussion. You can forget about trying to correct anything that isn't accurate or is mythological.

I got the same treatment from eWeek once when I complained that they ran a full article extolling the cost savings that a company had when moving to a product that didn't even exist.

It might go against the spirit of the request though... so be careful.

@coliver Did someone say spirits?!? Make mine a double!
-
@coliver I haven't posted anything of the sort, just my interpretation of some insanity.
