aww - they frowned on the short vs jeans. gotcha...
Yeah, dirty dress down jeans are totally okay, clean dress shorts not okay. Because the point is to make it hard to stay cool not to dress nicely.

And this was the bar that turned you away? as in the bar itself had a dress code?
The brewery. It's a factory and distribution plant.

Getting ready to head into Managua to go see Don Quixote at the theater tonight.
-
Bit of a random thought… whatever happened to that mob quixotic that used to be here a while ago?
Don’t even recall what they were building.

SodiumSuite? It stalled a bit and then TacticalRMM came along with basically way too many overlaps and it was best to just bow out as they have momentum and a great product and while it doesn't yet do everything Sodium had hoped to do, Sodium wasn't to the point of doing it either.
Quixotic makes veterinary management and marketing SMS tools now.

Speaking of things Quixotic... I came into Managua last night to see... Don Quixote at the theatro El Gato! It was a really good show.

Been a few days - still having issues with the work computer and Chrome so I haven't been signed in via work.
Playing some HamRadio, building a recycled computer for my wife to use and otherwise kicking back best I can - Next week will be a pain as half of our staff will be out.. the half that has been there 5 and 7 years respectfully... Don't know why you would let BOTH of the veteran staff have off the same week but he did.
We onboard nine people Monday, which means that we'll be down to just me running the phones and all the break/fix. and I hope to hell it goes to hell. It'll be worth it to say - don't you ever do that again.

I'm assuming by context that he's talking about a power outlet.
and he wants to plug a power strip into the outlet so he can plug two things into the single wall outlet.
Is that a good idea? well that depends on how much draw you already have on that circuit.

what to do, what to do, what to do???If I had the $, I'd put in a new dual socket near my desk.
Adding the powerboard between the powerpoint (socket) and the UPS is a fire hazard IMO as it's more likely to be accidentally overloaded.Sure they have various protection mechanisms, and you've got an RCD, but you can still get an almighty kick if something goes pearshaped.
Powerboard FROM the UPS, different story.
In any case, I'd be going for a new dual socket closer to the desk.

why 1 word instead of 2? If it was 2 words, while not normal for us real english manglers, we would have at least assumed a wall outlet.
-
@jaredbusch well it can be two words when referring to Harrison Ford but definitely optional when not
-
Morning all! The new sound system is being installed out at the beach hotels and restaurants today. Having coffee right now.
How y'all doin'?
