Cleaning out the garage.
We have to get things paired down to so little before shipping it all to Nicaragua. In the process of eliminating everything that we feel that we can live without.
-
Some things it's really hard to give up. Others, it feels so great to just be allowed to toss it all.

Do the kids make it into the "can't live without category"?

Sigh. Yes.
Kind of. Tons of it was always here. Remember we maintained two full homes for most of a decade. And we kept a lot of memories and things because we had a house. But now that we are shifting to living internationally 100% of the time, forever, we can't take anything unnecessary with us.

no clue. the iDRAC showed some kind of hard fail at 7:37 am and then a subsequent normal boot process.
All of the VM's showed running. but the DC while pingable was not responding to anything else.
Of course with no DC, I was unable to manage anything remotely through normal means.
And the iDRAC 6 still uses the java remote console, which I could no longer make run successfully on any system.
I had to call in a user to manually type commands for me on the KVM in the server rack. once I learned the things were booted but not accessible, I had the user stop the DC on the main hypervisor, start the replica DC on the other hypervisor, then I was able to remote into the DC and shut everything down on hv01 again and reboot it. everything, minus the DC set to autostart and the network came up..
That was enough for a Holiday Monday.
I'll be poking at the logs later this morning.

Waiting for the call from the hospital that my wife's procedure is done. I am assuming they will update after completion and then again once she wakes.

Home now. Minor complication required the OBGYN to call in a surgeon to have the robot detach the left ovary from the intestine that it should not have been stuck to in the first place. Once detached everything went smoothly.
