And it is spam, as my email is blowing up with "Mangolassi.it topic posted CompTIA+ blah blah blah"
There is no other way to explain it, especially as there is no conversation on the videos except for a few of them at this point. Would've been a nice heads up, even in the channel that "Hey we've got a new batch of interns and we'll be posting some videos they need to watch, sorry for the spam".
maybe you need more coffee, there Mr. Sunshine.

It's not spam, it's people discussing them. If you dont' want emails to notify you, just correct your email settings. Those announcements all come from the IT Training group. They groups are there specifically so that you can control nor notifications.
https://mangolassi.it/category/5/it-careers
It's not perfect as you can tune email/new by category, it's both or neither. But you can simply turn off "watching" of the category to avoid just those items.
would creating a "group" called Interns be a better idea?

Absolutely not, it's not just for interns. it's general education. That some interns are going through topics now is completely different than the topics being only for interns (and whose interns? and what kind of interns?)
It's nothing to do with interns, and the interns have been having discussions on other topics as well. Imagine if we recategorized topics depending on the people who were posting on them at any given moment... it would cause all kinds of issues. And the interns are only half of the people talking on those topics, so why categorize as interns rather than as IT Managers, for example, since IT Managers are having discussions on there, too.
It's already in a group for something specific. And it's for everyone, it's not a limited group. Asking questions in there is the same as anywhere else.
Remember, these were pre-existing topics, that just got more conversation today. But they weren't for interns before, they were just a way to find good IT educational / career resources. That some interns are using them right now is just a momentary thing.

@scottalanmiller defend your spamming all you want. All I'm saying is a a little notice might be nice to skip out on a few dozen emails.

It was only three posts (so far). More will be coming, though. Because people were looking for more of the series. But only three were posted.
-
@scottalanmiller You're full of it if you believe only 3 CompTIA+ topics were posted today. And @mlnews is a culprit in the spamfest as well.

ML News was already posted before Scott Started .
And so what. This is a Forum is it not?
is A+ not a different part of It ( no matter how worthless some of us think it is) Knowing the components of a PC is huge. -
@DustinB3403 check the dates. Those were there months or years. You are seeing actual discussions by other people.

Thankful I have QoS setup sanely at home here. Figured out the last issue I had with XCP-ng, XO, and backing up to Wasabi. Now my internet connection is pegged
Mine is still running... 5mb/sec at 55 hours in... According to the ETA, I have another 102 hours to go, lol.
When is the next backup? How big?
Right now, I'm just doing a one-off. I'm planning on setting up a Monthly backup.

SOOOO many issues with a Vultr VPS today. Network connectivity has been awful, and intermittent.
Anyone else having issues with Vultr lately?

They had a note about Atlanta issues the other day, but it didn't impact our Atlanta instances.

My instance is in NJ. The first time, they told me it was an issue with the host node. Now this time, it was about a 15 minute outage that now seems to be resolved. The moment I received a response from them, asking for MTRs, pings returned to normal. Sigh

Trying to figure out the best way to handle publishing a modification to FOP2 to enable it to send a PJSIP notify message to Yealink phones to put themselves in and out of DND.
